Jane from Utah writes

Is there danger of burning if I spray this product during very warm weather?

I've been told my spider mites thrive in hot, dry weather, but I shouldn't spray them when it is hot and dry, because the spray will damage the trees (alberta pines). Seems like the time to kill them is when they are active--I'm confused. Have not seen this product before and am interested. Thanks

Answer:

According to the label on Avid Miticide, Excessive cold or warm temperatures may increase the chance of plant damage following application with oils. We would recommend contacting your local extension office to help with a proper time of day to apply the product. Every county has an extension office that is run by your University System. They are located in the same county and are familiar with weather, plant and soil conditions that pertain to your location.
