I have 2 honey locus trees and they are 40 ft tall and I can only get the spray on the bottom limbs, I was hoping to just pour the growth regulator on the root system to stop the pods from forming
The Monterey Florel Growth Regulator and most other plant growth regulators on the market must be applied as a foliar spray to work. The chemicals need to be directly applied to the leaf tissue to work and will not be pulled through the root to impact the plant in the way you are hoping. It is not a systemic product and will not be pulled through the tree. You may need to hire a company that has a spray rig that can reach the top of the trees for you, or see if there is equipment you can rent to do a proper foliar spray treatment.
