While you can use Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait in pastures where you have companion animals, it cannot be used in grazing fields where you will use the animal for food of any sort.  Per the manufacturer's label: This product is toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash water. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from target areas.
