Gentrol Complete EC3 uses the active ingredient Lambda-cyhalothrin, which is considered a synthetic pyrethroid, which is similar to the natural insecticide pyrethrin, but not a repellent. While some insects are sensitive and can detect insecticides and may avoid the treated areas, this is not considered to be a "repellent," and insects must cross or contact the treated areas to be affected.
