The Ferti-Lome For All Seasons II Lawn Food Plus Crabgrass and Weed Preventer should be used in early spring or early fall to provide weed prevention and a continuous feed of the nutrients within it for several months. While the fertilizer formula within this product is a little more quick releasing for visible results faster, it would not harm a lawn unless the product was not used according to the label instructions for application, much like most fertilizers.
