Is Trimec 992 safe to use to kill thistle in a vegetable garden?

My vegetable garden has been taken over by thistle. I am wanting to get rid of it but still have the soil still be safe to plant vegetables in. Is this possible with Trimec or should I look for another product to kill the thistle?

Answer:

Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide is not safe to apply in an area that would be a vegetable garden.    In the vegetable garden, you would need to spot treat carefully using a non-selective herbicide like RoundUp or glyphosate alternative or hand pull/dig any broadleaf weeds or thistles.   You can plant areas in 2 weeks after application.
