    Q
If Manna Pro Pure Defense is used on carpet inside the home, could it be dangerous to my small dog?
    A

Manna Pro Pure Defense is intended for application with a hand duster, power duster or other suitable equipment for applications where insects are found. Apply to cracks and crevices. In living areas, make applications in such a manner as to avoid deposits on exposed surfaces or introducing the material into the air. Treat a small area of surface to be treated and look for staining or other adverse reaction before making regular application.  Apply lightly and uniformly to infested areas. The amount of product will vary with the site but should usually be in the range of 1 – 5 oz/100 square feet. Thoroughly treat floor and bedding in and around pets’ sleeping quarters. Treat surrounding cracks and crevices, baseboards, carpeting and wherever fleas are suspected. Keep pets out of the area during the treatment.

  • Asked by Libby from Dickinson, Al

    Q
Will Diatomaceous earth work on fungus gnats?
Fungus gnats get in my plants that I start in peat pots or pop-up pellets.
    A

A diatomaceous earth product such as Manna Pro Pure Defense would not be recommended for fungus gnats. Fungus gnats are usually found due to over-watering, so we would recommend to first be sure to allow plants to properly drain and dry up some to eliminate the breeding environment. You can use a systemic insecticide such as Bonide Systemic Granules incorporated into the soil of containerized plants. You can also apply a residual insecticide spray such as Talstar P over the top of the soil of infested plants.
