I was unable to control wild violets with conventional over the counter weed killers, and they were taking over my lawn. Most of them relied on 2-4D which did not cut it. After some research I learned that Triclopyr was the only ingredient that would work on the violets, and as a bonus it works one just about all non grass weeds. I followed the directions for small batches and had good luck, the weeds started to side in 48 hours. There was some burning where I must have soaked the area to much, or overlapped my application. This stuff is concentrated at 61.6%, so be careful.
