    Will Martins Permethrin 10?use any staining, discoloration or adverse affects on paint if sprayed around window frames?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% is labeled to be applied as to the outside surfaces of screens, doors, window frames or wherever these insects may enter the home/rooms. When mixed and applied per the product label, there should not be any staining, disoloration or adverse affects. Do not apply to the point of runoff or dripping. 

    If discoloration or staining is concern, we recommend doing a small test application to an inconspicuous area before treating.

    Martins Permethrin 10% should not be sprayed on throats, in ears or genitalia areas. You can sponge in a spot application around these areas as directed on the label.

    Can permethrin 10% be used to control rats?
    A
    There is absolutely nothing about Martins Permethrin 10% or any other permethrin product that would be used for rats. Permethrin is an insecticide only and will only kill insects that crawl over the treated surfaces where it has been accurately applied per label instructions. Please see the Rat Control Guide and Rat Control sections of our website for the appropriate products and use tips for control.

    Is Martins Permethrin 10% labeled to treat goats for mites? If so, what is the dilution rate?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is labeled for goats to treat mites. The rates will vary depending on the amount of animals you need to treat. Application rates range from 8 oz in 50 gal of water to 32 oz in 200 gal of water. For lice or mites a second treatment is recommended 14- 21 days later. For Spot Treatments using a low pressure spray, apply 1/2 oz. per ear or 2-4 oz. on face or 12-16 oz. along the backline.

    I would like to use Martins Permethrin 10% to prevent secondary parasites such as lice and mites on my goats, what is the rate recommended?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is labeled for use on goats to treat Faceflies, Hornflies, Stableflies, Mosquitoes, Lice, Mites, Ticks, including Deer tick (carrier of Lyme disease) at the rates of 8 ozs. in 50 gals. water, 16 ozs in 100 gals. water or 32 ozs in 200 gals of water. Spray to thoroughly cover entire animal.

    For lice or mites a second treatment is recommended 14-21 days later

    I have cats what are the cautions for exposure to them?
    A
    Martins Permethrin 10% is pet safe if used as directed on the manufacturer's product label.  Pets and people should be removed from the area while the treatment is being applied, and once the treated area has completely dried, it is then safe for pet and people to re-enter that area.

    Can it be used for termites

    Martins Permethrin 10% may kill termites that come in contact with it, but will not completely take care of the termite problem. Please see our Termite control page. for information on how to appropriately treat an active termite infestation and the best products to do it.

    Can this be applied to coastal grass to kill caterpillars without worrying about cattle that forage?
    A

    Essentria All Purpose would be recommended for pastures with grazing cattle to treat caterpillars and many other common insects. Apply at 1 to 3 fl oz per gallon of water for a residula of 2 to 4 weeks depending on weathering like rain and direct sunlight. 

    While there are no grazing restrictions, we recommend keeping animals off the treated areas until dry. View the full product label for more information.

    Is there a withdrawal period for Permethrin used on beef cattle

    Although there does not appear to be a specified withdraw period on the manufacturer's product label for beef cattle after applying Martins Permethrin 10%, we strongly suggest contacting the manufacturer, Control Solutions, directly for clarification and product support by either calling them at 800.242.5562 or by visiting their website's contact page.

    Can you spray Martins Permethrin 10?ter you have sprayed Temprid FX on a couch? It's not killing the fleas?
    I have been spraying with Temprid FX, for bedbugs, but now i seem to have fleas I think. They are active in evening. I'm also seeing little brown spots on walls and cabinets where I have sprayed the Temprid. When I spray with a flea spray, the brown spots disappear.

    Martins Permethrin 10% should not be applied to furniture. We recommend confirming pest id prior to treatment. If you are targeting fleas, here is a great article on a successful program.

    How to dilute permethrin 10% to water to spray on beds to prevent or kill scabies?
    How much to use ina 32 oz bottle and how long can it effectively be used in a week?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to treat scabies.  Scabies mites live only on/in the skin, and we do not carry anything to treat humans. We suggest visiting your doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. 
     
    Once you mix a product with water, you need to use it up within 24 hours.

    I have read that you can use 2 ounces per 3 gallons of water
    Forgetting or sponging a dog for fleas

    Martins Permethrin 10% can be applied to dogs.
     
    Per the product label: Dilute 8 ozs. in 12.5 gals. of water. Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging, or spraying. Allow the animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals on medication.
