    Can Martins Permethrin 10% be used to spray on dogs, not dipped? How much mixed to one gallon of water?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% is diluted at 8 oz to 12.5 gallons of water for dogs. Thoroughly wet the animal by dipping, sponging or spraying. Allow animal to dry in a warm place without rinsing or toweling. Do not reapply product for two to three weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals on medication.

    What can I mix with Permethrin 10% to be used in a propane yard mosquito fogger?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to be used in a fogger outdoors, nor is it labeled to be used for mosquitoes around homes.  You may want to consider using a product like CSI 30-30 Mosquito, Fly & Gnat Control instead.

    When is the optimal time of day to spray my yard with the Permethrin 10?
    I'm treating my yard for ticks, chiggers, misquitos, gnats, ants, waterbugs and such...when is the best time to spray? And at what ratio? I have a 4 gallon backpack sprayer. And should the chickens be cooped up until product is dry?

    It is always advised to make your application either in the early morning or early evening time.  You don't ever want to make an application of insecticide or herbicide during mid day when the sun is at its hottest.  You mix the Martins Permethrin 10% at 1.5 ounces of product per 32 ounces of water to treat 400 linear feet with a 6 inch spray pattern.  So in your case you could mix up to 24 ounces of product into your 4 gallons of water in your backpack sprayer.  Keep any animals away from the treated area until the product has time to dry.  

    1 1/2 oz. in 1 quart of water, treating 400 linear feet with a 6-inch spray band

    Does Martins Permethrin 10% kill scabies in home or on person?
    A

    Martins Permethrin 10% cannot be used on humans or in residential areas to control scabies mites.  Scabies mites live only on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Treating the home is not needed with this particular pest as they do not live long off their host. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture, though treating the home for scabies is usually not necessary.

    I applied Martins Permethrin 10% outside and some got on my siding. Will that stain or harm the siding?

    What is the mixing ratio of Martins Permethrin 10% when spraying my chickens and chicken coop?
    A

    When using Martins Permethrin 10% to spray a poultry house, the label states that you use 8 oz of product in 6.25 gallons of water. This treatment can be done once every two weeks, and you want to be sure to spray the walls and surfaces thoroughly without contaminating the feed or water. When using this product on poultry for Mange Mites, flies, blowflies, mosquitoes, hog lice, fleas or ticks, you mix 8 oz of product in 25 gallons of water. When treating poultry for Poultry Mites, Northern Fowl Mites or Lice, you use 8 oz of product in 12.5 gallons of water applying only 1/2 oz per bird.

    What can I use to mop floor after applying Martins Permethrin 10% to remove the greasy residue?

    We would recommend using hot soapy water with a mild detergent to remove any unwanted residue after applying Martins Permethrin 10%.

    Is the Martins Permethrin 10% the best product to use against ladybugs on apple trees?
    A

    Martins Permethrin is not labeled for use on fruit trees. In cases of infestation the general recommendation is to simply protect the surrounding trees with preventative sprays with a product labeled for such a use. We recommend treating with the Bonide Fruit Tree Spray. You will mix Mix 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 tbs. per gal. of water. Please see the label for complete application instructions.

    Will Martins Permethrin 10% kill bed bugs and their eggs?

    Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled for bed bugs. We recommend reviewing our How to Treat for Bed Bugs Treatment Guide for step by step instructions on how to fully treat for bed bugs and their eggs. One product will not fully treat, it takes a combination of products and repeat treatments every 7-10 days. We have Bed Bug Control Kits that offer the products used for eradication.

    Can I spray Martins Permethrin 10% in cabinets in kitchen?

    No, cats have extreme sensitivity to permethrin products such as Martins Permethrin 10%. You should never use this or similar products on cats unless the product label specifically indicates that the product can be used for this purpose. You can browse our products for cat fleas here.
