  • Asked by Deborah from Columbia, Sc
    10/10/2017
    Q
Can Permethrin 13.3 be used on plants to kill scale or other household plant pests?
    A

Martins Permethrin 13.3% does not list applications to ornamentals for scale on the product label so we would not recommend it. We would recommend Talstar P. It is a insecticide that is labeled for lawn and ornamentals and is safe for plants, bushes, shrubs and trees. You can also apply it inside and outside your home for insects that try to enter the house. Talstar P is known for being super gentle on plants, but care should still be taken to avoid contact with blooms.

  • Asked by Jackie from Chicago

    Q
Will Martin's Permethrin 13.3% kill scabies?
I got scabies and they are in my hair and face will this kill scabies?
    A

Martin's Permethrin 13.3% is not labeled to treat either scabies.  Scabies mites live only on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture, although treating the home for scabies is usually not necessary as they do not live long off their host.
