    Can Surrender Fire Ant Killer also be used if you don't have any mounds to sprinkle around the flower beds?
    A
    Surrender Fire Ant Killer is only labeled for mound treatments once a year per the label instructions. We do carry Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait that is labeled for mound and a broadcast application and is applied on a dry when you are not expecting any rainfall for at least 24 hours.

    Why does it say wettable powder?

    Per the Martins Surrender Product Label: The active ingredient in SURRENDER is acephate, a water soluble insecticide readily absorbed by plant roots and foliage to give systemic control of feeding insects. Insect pests are generally controlled more effectively by SURRENDER through ingestion than by contact.

    Is Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer safe for dogs?
    A
    Yes, Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer is safe for pets when it is used as directed. For the best results, you will apply this product in the early morning or late afternoon when the ants are most active. In a non-crop area, such as field borders, fencerows, roadsides, ditchbanks, etc., you will use 2 teaspoons per mound. If you are using Surrender to treat in residential, recreational and/or commercial turf, you will use 1-2 teaspoons per mound. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    It doesn't say to, but am I suppose to pour water on the mound after I apply Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer

    Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer should not be watered in after application. Be sure to apply in early morning or late afternoon.

    I bought my can a few months back and dont see mixing application instructions. How is it to be applied? Thanks

    We do have the product label for the Martins Surrender Fire Ant Bait here.  Application is to
    evenly distribute 1-2 teaspoons over each mound.
