I had ants invading a corner of my basement and crawling up and down the outside of the house and under the siding in the same area. I used one ant killer, then a second, then a third, then finally this one. After a month, either this one or some combination of the four eliminated the ants. I had ants crawling up and down the outside of the house years before, when it also took several different types to kill them. The lesson is that there are dozens of types of ants, and you must find the correct insecticide that will kill yours. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Be prepared to use several in succession as needed.

I use this once a year along the fence line to a neighboring property. I didn't want the bait to attract anything toward the house. We saw roaches coming from there due to a lot of dead vegetation in the other yard. Putting this down at the start of the season when it's dry for a while has diminished the number we spot in the yard. Now I do it every year.

The Granular bait works great in killing ants and bugs inside and outside of my house. I do recommend this this product if a problem with ants and other bugs.

We had big black carpenter ants that were getting in the house randomly. The last two years we were getting exterminator in the fall costing $600/$700 each year. Plus they would spray inside the house which I was not comfortable with. We used the granular ant bait outside on the hills and supplemented it with liquid gel in bait traps and some granular bait as well, around home perimeter. We saw the ants who did get in the house, immediately go a little crazy and die. This continued for about a week until we saw NO ants. The cost was a fraction of the exterminator cost ($120) and we feel it was actually safer because there was no spraying of chemicals in my home. I highly recommend DoMyOwn products for home use in place of costly exterminators.

This stuff works great! It’s the same stuff that professional companies use (I know this from experience), and it helps rid the applied area of ants for a long time. I get a good amount of ant hills in my yard and when I lay down the granules there is no activity within a day or two and it is clear for a few weeks (weather dependent). If you have ant problems this will help!

Sprinkled around the perimeter of the house, and the ants almost disappeared completely in about three days. A few strays remained, but compared to what they were before, a huge difference. I will be buying this product every year. Thanks

It worked well. I was surprised to see even the littlest ants would pick this up from the bait station and carry it out. I had a bad infestation in the kitchen. Some old compressed wood cabinets. I used this, Maxforce Gel, Advion Gel. and the bait stations.

I have no idea if this product works. At least not for the ants that I have. I have used this and liquid Green Way. I know the liquid worked for a short while because I saw the dead ants in the container. But the granules after several weeks were just a caked up block! Apparently, they are very hydrophilic and it has been wet and humid all summer. There was no appreciable volume loss. The small black ants that I have (I think sweet-loving) are still thriving and happy! I just put more granules in with the liquid. We'll see what happens.

We apologize results were not as expected. Maxforce Complete has a unique formula with a mixture of proteins, simple sugars, fats and complex carbohydrates in a food-based granular structure but granules tend to be more protein/fat based that sweet so the ants may just be looking for more sugary foods at times and go for the liquid over the granule. We do recommend keeping both baits out as long as there is activity.

I did order for fire ants as it stated here to work but it's non effective. It may work for something else but not for fire ants, don't waste your money.

Fastest delivery ever. I ordered it on Friday and had it on Saturday. Plus it's a very effective product. I applied it in the early evening. Saw the ants start carrying it away within minutes, and the next day no ants!

I had ants digging into my patio tiles bringing up sand from below. After a few trys with other products which did not work I sprinkled Maxforce in select spots. Within 3 days they were gone.

I submitted an earlier review that said I was disappointed. I didn't see any ants showing interest in the bait at all for more than a week. I gave up and then noticed after two weeks that the Carpenter ants were gone. It's been almost a month since the application and I have had two weeks of kill. I do still see some occasional tiny ants outside though.

Kills on contact works good on the inside and outside anywhere needed l recommend this product to anyone it's better than the Orkit man to get rid of roaches and pest

I've been battling these teeny tiny ants for years now. After speaking with a Pest Specialist friend down south, (I am in Massachusetts) she thought they were a form of fire ant. She suggested I try this product, and though it did take longer than I expected, it seems to have worked! The hills on the grass (or where the grass USED to be ???? ) are demolished from the rain and I see no efforts or movement to rebuild. Interestingly, the ant hill that was in the cracks of my stone pool entry is showing another story! There are minimal ants moving very slowly, but because it's on stone, I can see the dead ants! On the ground, they probably just sank in with the rain, but you can visibly see on the stone foot path that they're dying! The bottle was smaller than I expected, so I'll need to order another one or two. I did struggle to find one that would tackle the ants in my garden, but nothing strong enough is also organic, so that area I'll continue to endure. Thanks very much.

Under a paver patio. I removed a few pavers and scattered per directions into sand bed where they were swarming. Did not appear to take up any of it. I understand ants are picky about bait type and switch preferences sometimes. So I cannot speak to other species. But in this case (late May) the pavement ants were not interested.

I had an Ant problem, the tiny ones that eat up my plants and get into my house also. These types ended up in my pool skimmer too. Now they are gone. This product did the job...

I can't really speak to the granules, all I saw was the ants on the gel, but if the ants were in a "protein" search then the granules likely would have been their first choice. The granules are also a little messy since they cling to static and the dumb trays caused them to fly all over the floor. This is why I am a little less than 5 star because, The delivery system for these two products is not up to par.

I spread Maxforce about 3' from my house & camper to draw insects away from my house to feed every 4-6 months. It's been working for over a year. I spray the perimeter of my house 3' up & 3' out with Taurus Sc Termiticide. At the same time. I had been seeing ants including some carpenter ants. Not anymore.
