    Q
How can I get roaches out of my electronics?
I have roaches in some of my electronics, some newer stuff, still under a warranty, and don't want to void it by opening it up. For example a Playstation 3. What is the best thing to do to get them out of there?
    A
You can place a roach bait gel such as Maxforce FC Magnum on a piece of tin foil or plastic wrap and set it on and under the electronics. The roaches should be attracted to the gel, eat it and this will help kill the roaches. It will not stop them from dying in the device however. You could also surround the device with insect glueboards to trap the roaches as they leave to feed. Unfortunately there is nothing that we can recommend to spray into electronics because of the chance something could be damaged.

    Q
We have a large roach infestation in an empty house. What should we use?
I have German Roaches in my rental property. We have thrown out the refrigerator and stove. There is nothing left in the house. We have bombed with 3 different types and still have them rain down on us when we open the front door. They are collecting in the upper corners of rooms and on any door that remains shut they get on the top. I have bought new appliances but cannot put them in until the roaches are gone. Please help. We are in Orlando, Fl.
    A
Most bug bombs do not leave a residual behind so it will only kill the roaches that are out in the open when the bomb is set off. Before starting a roach treatment program you must thoroughly sanitize the house. Even the best insecticides on the market cannot overcome poor sanitation. You must use products that will leave an active residual behind and products that will eliminate roaches where they hide. You will need to use 3 products together to eliminate roaches. You will need to use an insecticide such as Cy-Kick CS mixed with an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol IGR around door frames, window frames, baseboards, under and behind appliances and counters and any other cracks or crevice where roaches harbor. The other product you will need is a roach bait gel such as Maxforce FC Magnum. Place the bait gel in areas where insecticide sprays would not be appropriate, such as in cracks and crevices on counter tops, in cabinets, in drawers, around sinks and in cupboards. It is important to remember that a large roach infestation did not pop up over night and it will not go away over night. It can take several months to get rid of a large infestation.

    Q
How do you use the Maxforce FC Magnum in the reservoir if it does not come with a plunger?
    A
The actual box of Maxforce FC Magnum does not come with a plunger, but we provide one with every order free of charge for you to push the gel out.  We also sell the plungers individually if you would like additional units.  If you happen to lose the plunger that comes with your order, you can always use your finger or a highlighter marker to advance the gel out of the tube.

    Q
What is the best bait brand for Roaches?
I treat local stores in my area. For example Dunkin Donuts and average Pizza place etc. I have tried using Talstar 1 but does not seem to get rid of the roaches and i keep getting call backs. So i was wondering which gel bait would be the best to use for my situation. Thanks a lot for taking your time out and sparing your knowledge to me and others.
    A
We would recommend baiting very heavily using Maxforce FC Magnum roach gel.  Small dabs in a ton of places is the key.  In addition you should use Gentrol Point Source, which is an IGR which will prevent the roaches from maturing and reproducing which in turn will slow down the life cycle and the numbers of small roaches you are dealing with.  You should use both the gel and the gentrol point source in places off of the ground.  Around the floor area and underneath things you should apply Phantom liquid which is a non-repellent product that roaches can pick up when they walk over it and transfer it to other roaches in hiding areas that you cannot reach, like inside wall voids.  The use of these three key products should start to knock down large numbers of roaches unless there is some major sanitation issues that have not been corrected.  Obviously any food or water sources that are not cleaned up and taken care of will prolong the problem indefinitely.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.

My landlord used it in my apt, I was impressed by how fast it worked and it's still working. I love your product!
    A
Maxforce FC Magnum should be reapplied every 2 weeks. Any gel that was previously applied should be cleaned (sometimes it may be necessary to scrap away any gel that has become hard on the surface) and dried prior to applying the fresh bait.

    Q
What is the difference between Maxforce FC baits & Maxforce baits other than the effective main ingredient?
Which is better for severe roach infestations?
    A
Maxforce FC Magnum has the fastest knockdown and is usually selected as part of a roach control program when there is a severe infestation. Maxforce FC and Maxforce Select are pretty much the same exact product, just in different sized tubes. Maxforce Pro contains an active ingredient that works a bit more slowly than the other Maxforce baits but this does allow it to spread more thoroughly through the roach population. We recommend using the Maxforce Magnum in conjunction with a strong insecticide like the Demon WP and also an Insect Growth Regulator such as Gentrol IGR. This combination of products will help you get a fast wipe out of the infestation. Keep all spray applications down low around baseboards, under appliances and around window and door frames. Keep all baits up high by placing small dots of bait every 10-12 inches directly in cracks and crevices on and under counter tops, in cabinets, cupboards, drawers and food pantries, around dishwashers, refrigerators, sinks, pipes. Do not spray the same exact area where you bait.

    Q
Can I spray Gentrol in areas where Max Force Magnum has been applied?
    A
It is true that you cannot spray insecticide and IGRs in the same exact places as you apply bait gels, but you can apply both products in the same rooms. Sprays such as the Gentrol IGR will be applied low around baseboards and under appliances and under and behind cabinets. Baits will be applied high, inside cabinets, on counters and around sinks and in drawers

    A

Maxforce FC Magnum has a three year shelf life if stored away from extreme temperatures. Maxforce FC Magnum should be reapplied every 2 weeks. Any gel that was previously applied should be cleaned (sometimes it may be necessary to scrap away any gel that has become hard on the surface) and dried prior to applying the fresh bait.

    Q
I am trying to get rid of roaches.
I keep in tight containers, keep kitchen and bathroom clean, take out trash everyday but still seem to have a present in both area what else can I do? Frustrated
    A

We would recommend using a variety of products to combat the roaches. Maxforce FC Magnum is a very good bait gel to use. You will put the gel in small place points in problem areas, such as around stove, microwave, counters, drawers, etc. You should also use Temprid SC insecticide. You will use 8 mL per gallon of water. This will be sprayed along the baseboards and cracks and crevices indoors and around the perimeter of the home. We would also recommend mixing Temprid SC with an IGR, such as Gentrol. This will stop the roaches from reproducing. For longer control, we would recommend using Delta Dust Insecticide inside the wall voids with a bulb duster. You will take the light plates and electrical sockets off the wall and do a couple of puffs per hole.

You will make sure that you are not spraying in places where the bait is. It will contaminate the bait and the roaches will not be attracted to it.

All of these things will help to contain the roaches and eliminate them. This is not an instant process but the combination of these products should definitely take care of your roach problem.

    Q
If a human touches this roach bait by accident, what are the consequences?
I have a roommate that just put roach bait in our apartment and he stated that if a human so much as briefly touches it they will die immediately. There are 5 of us living here, two small dogs, and a few cats. Can you please confirm or deny that information and give me the correct information? Please and thank you!
    A
While we cannot comment on the particular product that your roommate applied we will say that with roach baits they are safe to use around pets and people when applied as directed on the product label.  A human or pet would have to physically consume a large portion of the bait for it to have an effect on them.

Roach bait gel safe for cats: Which brand is best?
Hi, I have a persistant roach problem (German) in my wood furniture and I would like to purchase the syringe-type bait dispenser product -- which is best (I live with a cat, so I want it to be as safe as possible). Thank you so much!
    A
We recommend using Maxforce FC Magnum to treat for German Roaches among other types of roaches. Maxforce FC Magnum is the newest and fastest-acting roach bait ever by Maxforce. Maxforce Magnum is for use only as a spot or crack and crevice treatment for the indoor control of Cockroaches in residential areas and only in areas inaccessible to children and pets. You should place small dots of bait every 10-12 inches in kitchens and bathrooms directly in cracks and crevices on and under counter tops, in cabinets, cupboards, drawers and food pantries, around dishwashers, refrigerators, sinks, pipes and baseboards. Do not place bait on food prep surfaces or in places that you will frequently touch or in places that are frequently washed. You can also use Maxforce Magnum in other rooms in cracks and crevices if you are seeing roach activity in those areas.

    Q
Applied maxforce fc magnum bait, when can items be returned to kitchen cabinets?
we don't have a huge problem with these pests.
    A
Since the maxforce magnum bait is only applied in small pea sized dabs along just the crevices of the cabinets, you can return the items immediately after application. We would suggest if you put some in silverware drawers to have the silverware in a tray to keep it from getting in the gel or wash the silver off just in case before using it.

    Q
How often should I rotate roach bait gels and insecticides for a roach control program?
how frencuent do we have to change bait for roaches or pests. ej. pesticide or gel bait. to keep a good IPM in home or busisness. please a want to know if i use gel or incecticide how often do i have to change and use another one. ?
    A
There is no set guideline on how often you should rotate the baits and insecticides. A lot of professionals will use the same bait and insecticide as long as they are seeing good results. When the results start to falter they will then switch to a new material with a different active ingredient.

    Q
When do the roaches die after eating Maxforce FC Magnum?
    A

Maxforce FC Magnum is not a contact kill type of product, so they will not die as soon as they touch it. It will start to work on their system and they will start getting weaker and dying within a few hours of contact.  However, please keep in mind that roaches are difficult to control, so it will likely take more than 5 days to see full results.  Moderate roach infestations can take a few weeks to get rid of, and severe infestations can take several months even when using all of the products needed (insecticide, IGR, roach bait), and sanitation is up to par. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article/videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches for a successful eradication program.

With Maxforce Magnum you get five times the fipronil, plus a new technology called ContactX(TM) which kills roaches by contact as well as ingestion. That combined with Maxforce Magnum's irresistible formulation that attracts even the most finicky roaches, and you've got the next generation in roach killer bait gel. Q
What do you recommend for German cockroaches?
We have tried different chemicals from local stores(home depot) and haven't binnacle to exterminate the roaches .What do you suggest? Is there a local store where we can purchase the products?
    A

We would recommend using a combination of products in order to combat German roaches. First, we would recommend using a bait gel, such as Maxforce Magnum. It is a very good bait gel that has .05% Fipronil. You will place this inside cabinets, drawers, etc. Do not spray near baits, do not use heavy detergents or cleaners, or do not use in very dusty area. Gel will dry out and get a dry skin on top but roaches will still eat it up to a year. However, if contaminated or gone, reapply. An insecticide that can be used is Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide. You will use this in areas where bait cannot be applied. It is a crack and crevice treatment and can be used indoors. You will use 3 fl. oz. per gallon of water. We would also recommend using Gentrol IGR as well. This can be mixed with Phantom in the same sprayer. Gentrol IGR stops the roach life cycle. It works for up to 4 months.

These are all professional grade products that are not available in a local store. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
    Palmetto bugs daily
We keep finding Palmetto a bug daily in my house. I have a baby now and can't spray. What can I do?
    A
We would recommend using a bait called Maxforce FC Magnum. This can be placed inside cabinets, in bathrooms, under the refrdgerator, and other places where the roaches can be found. They will eat the bait and become diseased. Once it becomes diseased, since roaches are social creatures, they will travel around each other and the others become diseased as well. This product is safe around children if it is used as directed. We would also recommend Gentrol Point Sources. This will stop them from reproducing. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    How is Maxforce Magnum applied?
my problem is under the fridge
    A
To apply Maxforce Magnum, you want to make green pea sized applications. Places to put a tiny dab of roach gel are places where roaches can sometimes congregate. Common areas for roaches to hide are: hinges of door frames, around the door frame, along the side and underneath of any cabinets against the walls (tiny crack where they meet the wall), inside corners of cabinets and drawers, underneath the lip of the counter top every 8 to 10 inches, corners of window frames, behind and underneath any appliances fridge, microwaves, etc. You can alos check out our application video on the product page.

    Q
How long does Maxforce FC Magnum last once applied? I read that it lasts for months, but I have seen a couple.
I saw a roach 4 times recently, and was only able to kill one. I don't know if it was the same one each time, as I haven't seen any since. I also have not seen any dead ones since the few I saw within the first week of applying gel May 1st. I think it was a pretty small infestation. Should I wait for a while before using the new stuff I just ordered? The one(s) I just saw were very much alive and active, so I don't know if it was a case of waiting for it to eat the bait. I saw it/them 3 nights in a row before I killed it. Then no more. Please let me know, and thanks for your time.
    A
While roach gel can stay active for a long time, it is also possible that it can be contaminated by cleaning products, ciggarette smoke, perfume and cooking oils. We do recommend that you put down new bait every 2 weeks during an active infestation. We also recommend you use an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to prevent hidden roaches form reproducing.
