Baits, such as Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel, are good for up to one year once they have been opened. If you are treating for an active infestation, it is recommended that you wipe up and put out new bait every two weeks.
Please check out our Roach Guide for additional information regarding roaches and how to treat and prevent them.
Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is a good option to use. Maxforce FC Magnum is the same active ingredient, just 5 times more, so has a faster kill.
Maxforce FC Roach Bait gel should be safe to use around any pet as long as you keep the application out of reach of the pet. Since you are applying a gel and not a spray, there is nothing released into the air where sensitive animals such as birds could run into respiratory issues. That being said you should always defer to your veterinarians advice. We do not have any other written safety information other than the information available on the product label and the MSDS. We do not offer product guarantees but these are the same products used by professionals and if you use them as part of your roach control plan you will have the same results as a professional. I have included a link below for you to learn what is needed for a complete roach control program:

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is only strong enough to kill roaches. There is no evidence of secondary poisoning with Maxforce or any roach baits for that matter. Remember roaches only consume a small amount of gel, and the gel only contains .01% of the active ingredient. Your pet eating a roach that has consumed the bait would not be life-threatening. Also, please keep in mind this product should be safe to use around any pet as long as you keep the application out of reach of the pet.
Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is labeled to be applied in pantries. Please visit our Roach Guide which includes helpful tips and videos showing you exactly how and where to place the bait. As the applicator you want to where chemical resistant gloves such as Nitrile Chemical reistant gloves.
Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is safe to be used around someone who is pregnant when applied accoring to the instructions on the product label.
Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is designed to be be used in areas pets should not be. Please keep in mind that normally the animal would need to consume large quantities for it to harm them. To be safe we would still recommend contacting the Vet.
Per the label the Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel should not be applied on surfaces where the temperature exceeds 130 degrees Farenheit as the bait may run. Examples include, but are not limited to portions of stoves, ovens, grills, fume hoods, heat lamps, coffee urns, steam tables, toasters, fryers, dishwashers, and hot water pipes. Care should be taken to avoid depositing gel onto exposed surfaces in general.
Roaches do not get there overnight so they will not leave overnight. It takes time for the bait to work through an active population. We highly recommend applying an insecticide and an insect growth regulator to the indoor and outdoor perimeter of the structure for a better treatment. I have also included a roach control article that offers great information. Please put out fresh bait once every two weeks. The food based ingredients attract them for consumption and they spread the product to one another.
