    Q
How long do gel baits such as Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel last until they lose killing power and attraction?
    A

Baits, such as Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel, are good for up to one year once they have been opened. If you are treating for an active infestation, it is recommended that you wipe up and put out new bait every two weeks.

Please check out our Roach Guide for additional information regarding roaches and how to treat and prevent them.

    Q
Is Maxforce FC the best gel bait? Or is the Maxforce Magnum or FC Select?
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is a good option to use.  Maxforce FC Magnum is the same active ingredient, just 5 times more, so has a faster kill.

    Q
Is Maxforce safe to use around birds?
I have pet parrots. What are the ingredients in Maxforce and it is safe around birds and cats? Can I get written information to show my vet about the safety? Is there a guarantee available? Thank you.
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait gel should be safe to use around any pet as long as you keep the application out of reach of the pet. Since you are applying a gel and not a spray, there is nothing released into the air where sensitive animals such as birds could run into respiratory issues. That being said you should always defer to your veterinarians advice. We do not have any other written safety information other than the information available on the product label and the MSDS. We do not offer product guarantees but these are the same products used by professionals and if you use them as part of your roach control plan you will have the same results as a professional. I have included a link below for you to learn what is needed for a complete roach control program:

    Q
After using Maxforce Roach Killer Bait Gel, what is the best way to clean up the remaining gel?
I used the product in my kitchen. I didn't use it on counter tops or food prep surfaces, but I did use it in cabinets that hold dishes and along the molding, etc. The roaches seem to be gone, but most of the gel that I applied is still there. Is it enough to simply wipe it up with a damp rag?
    A
The best way to clean up the roach gel is exactly as you stated. Use a wet rag with soap on it an it will come right up.

    Q
How difficult is it to remove Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel once the year of application is up?
I have had some bait before that was black and very difficult to clean up. What color is this gel?
    A
The gel ranges in color, it is more of a brown/beige color. The bait gel should be easily removed with soap and hot water. If you are still having problems a little vegetable oil will remove the gel

  • Asked by Rich from Philadelphia

    Q
Do Maxforce FC kill bedbugs too?
    A
Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is labeled only for roaches and will not kill bedbugs. Treating for Bed Bugs will take a combination of products, not just one particular product. We recommend looking at our Bed Bug Kit Page. We have taken the guess work out of what products you will need to treat with and put them in kits depending on how many rooms you are treating. Each Kit comes with a 5 Step Treatment Guide on how to properly and thoroughly treat for bedbugs. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Asked by Nupur from Mumbai
    12/05/2019
    Q
Will Maxforce FC Roach Gel hurt my cat?
What if a cat eats or licks dead roaches which have eaten or come in contact with Bait Gel? Will it be serious or life-threatening for cats?
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is only strong enough to kill roaches. There is no evidence of secondary poisoning with Maxforce or any roach baits for that matter. Remember roaches only consume a small amount of gel, and the gel only contains .01% of the active ingredient. Your pet eating a roach that has consumed the bait would not be life-threatening. Also, please keep in mind this product should be safe to use around any pet as long as you keep the application out of reach of the pet.

    Q
Is it safe to place Maxforce FC gel in the pantry ?
I had pest control company coming monthly to treat german roaches. They were using bait gel, and after a year they said there is no need to continue coming (?). Only two months after I started seeing baby roaches ( did not know they can fly, so I did not realize that were baby roaches). I live in apartment, and I am not sure if other tenants do pest control, but I noticed those baby bugs crowl towards the ceiling and in apartment above no one resides for couple of months. I bought Maxforce FC bait gel and Gentrol to do the pest control myself, but I am not sure if I can apply the gel in my pantry, since I found a lot baby roaches in all kind of food, that I all threw away. Is it safe to place bait gel in the pantry and where is the best spot to place it ? And what else should I buy to keep myself protected ?
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is labeled to be applied in pantries. Please visit our Roach Guide which includes helpful tips and videos showing you exactly how and where to place the bait. As the applicator you want to where chemical resistant gloves such as Nitrile Chemical reistant gloves

  • Asked by Uri from Israel

    Q
Can you compare Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel to the moistness of Invict Gold Roach Bait Gel?
How long it will stay effective after implemented? It can be the perfect product, but if it gets dry quickly it is a problem!
    A
The Maxforce FC Roach Bait gel stays moist for quite a while but the exact amount of time will depend on environmental factors such as the humidity, air currents and the porousness of the surface it is placed on.  We have not done any moistness testing between Invict and Maxforce so we do not have any way to compare them.

  • Asked by John from Charleston, Sc
    04/25/2016
    Q
Will Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gels will it harm my dog?
My blue tick hound ingested the contents of two bait stations. Overnight she pooped once and vomited twice while in the house - something she hasn't done in over 8 years! She is very sluggish today. Not saying it was the bait packages but seems very odd timing if it wasn't. I'm pretty sure she will be okay but thought readers would like the feedback.
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is designed to be be used in areas pets should not be. Please keep in mind that normally the animal would need to consume large quantities for it to harm them. To be safe we would still recommend contacting the Vet.

    Q
Does intense heat ruin the effectiveness of the Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gell?
    A

Per the label the Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel  should not be applied on surfaces where the temperature exceeds 130 degrees Farenheit as the bait may run. Examples include, but are not limited to portions of stoves, ovens, grills, fume hoods, heat lamps, coffee urns, steam tables, toasters, fryers, dishwashers, and hot water pipes. Care should be taken to avoid depositing gel onto exposed surfaces in general.

  • Asked by Esther from St Louis, Missouri
    08/17/2014
    Q
I placed the roach bait in my apartment for a month. There are still live roaches. Why?
I place the bait gel inside the kitchen cabinet and corner of walls.
    A

Roaches do not get there overnight so they will not leave overnight. It takes time for the bait to work through an active population. We highly recommend applying an insecticide and an insect growth regulator to the indoor and outdoor perimeter of the structure for a better treatment. I have also included a roach control article that offers great information. Please put out fresh bait once every two weeks. The food based ingredients attract them for consumption and they spread the product to one another.

    Q
Is Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel food grade?
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel contains food ingredients as the bait matrix, plus an insecticide active ingredient. We are not exactly sure what you mean when asking if it is food grade since it does contain food. You can use this product in food-handling areas such as kitchens, however, you should not contaminate human or animal food or feed since it also contains an active ingredient.
