Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel kills roaches by ingestion and contact, and spreads from roach to roach through the Domino Effect of Fipronil. Whereas Advion Cockroach Gel Bait's active ingredient Indoxacarb has a brief delay in killing the roach, allowing it to return to its harborage site and spread the bait to other roaches. Both products are very effective for roach control when combined with proper sanitization, removal of food and water sources, and when used in conjunction with an insecticide like Temprid FX and an IGR like Gentrol Point Source.
For active roach infestations, repeat applications are required using a combination of products to successfully eliminate the population. The length of treatments vary depending on the roach population but retreatments should be done consistently every 14 days until roach activity has ceased.

Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel is safe to use in homes with pets as bait placements should be applied in areas that are inaccessible to pets. Please view our Roach Bait Placement Video for more information.
The Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel is only available in a box of 4 tubes, however, we do also offer the Maxforce FC Magnum which is available in a single tube.
For an integrated pest management program for roaches, you would switch your baits every 90-120 days during your treatment (along with your other methods in tandem). If you have been using Maxforce Select, we would recommend rotating with another professional roach bait gel such as Vendetta Plus (contains an insect growth regulator as well). You could then rotate to Advion Cockroach or Alpine etc in your program.
