doesn't work!
By Alejandra on 03/21/2017
I apply the product as the instructions mention, didn't work... still infested...
Expert response:
Thank you for your comments! For a complete roach control program, we recommend to use additional products in conjunction with your roach bait gel. If you have been using the same bait for a long period of time, you will also need to rotate baits so that the roaches do not become averse to it. We have excellent Roach Control Kits which contain the products recommended to combat a roach infestation completely, including roach bait gel, liquid concentrate, and Insect Growth Regulator (IGR). You can view these kits here: http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/roach-control-kits-c-2_73.html
We also have a great Roach Treatment Guide with more tips and videos, including important non-chemical steps such as sanitation and exclusion which are crucial to eradicating a roach population:

Dissapointed :(
By April on 05/09/2017
My neighbor and I got the Advion a few months ago and it worked great! With summer coming up we thought we'd reapply some roach bait. We went w/ the Max Force because we thought we were supposed to switch between baits. Well it didn't work for either of us! Not at all! Was a waste of time and money. Not sure if we got a bad batch (based off everyone else's reviews) or what.

Not working
By Deborah on 07/04/2023
Had been using Advion gel previously and my hugh roach population was eagerly drawn to it. Bought this MaxForce gel based on raving reviews because, as I said, we have a huge problem. The roaches aren't drawn to the MaxForce AT ALL and the few who take note will just walk up, take a whiff, and walk away. Really disappointed!!!

We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. We would welcome the opportunity to troubleshoot the application to help get you the results you need. Please contact us at your earliest convenience!

Not Happy
By Samantha on 02/27/2024
For reference, I live in a studio apartment, the complex has roaches itself so they're unavoidable. A few months back, I purchased this sites Advion roach gel and it worked AMAZING. They were eating it and dying so fast I couldn't buy enough gel fast enough. However due to financial circumstances I couldn't keep up with buying enough gel to kill them all. About a week ago, I decided to try this type of gel while I had the money because I was hoping for even better results, or at least equal to the Advion gel. I was highly disappointed. A few roaches will eat the gel but most of them won't even go near it. I haven't found any dead at all and it's upsetting to have bought 2 boxes only for it not to work. Will not buy this again and do not recommend it. However if you're looking for something that actually works, Advion gel is the better way to go.

It hardens way to fast, so I'm constantly having to use the product. Since it hardens to fast, the. You see the product that is left behind.
Expert response:
Thank you for taking the time to review this product. Please do keep in mind that even when the roach bait gel placement is dry, the roaches will still eat it. You should only need to replace bait placements every 30 days or as needed when the bait has been taken. Also, in order to ensure that roaches take bait placements quickly, you should make sure that there are no competing food sources in or around the area, as the roaches need to be hungry to take the bait. You may also want to refer to our helpful Cockroach Treatment Guide for more detailed information on roach control by following this link: https://www.domyown.com/how-to-get-rid-of-roaches-a-458.html. Not Worth The Money
By Jason on 06/19/2020
One pays a premium price for a so called solution to a mild insect problem and finds that it works no better than the other competitive products on the market with a lower price tag. This product was hyped up so much that it was the sure deal for solving one's problems with menacing roaches that inflated the price to a point that it became fleecing customers that were willing to try it. My advice is to do your research and go with a product that is reasonably priced because it is going to do the same job as this one. Oh, and just FYI, it's not white with pretty little blue crystals in it like you see on all the advertisements and videos you will see on the product, its in fact brown with what looks like tiny flecks of glitter in it i guess for effects.

Must have been a bad batch
By Susan on 09/21/2024
I have used this product with great success in the past. I have recommended it to others with the same problem. I think this batch must have been old because it didn't work. I used it according to instructions. There is no way to determine how or why it didn't work as all I have is the batch number and it was ordered two months ago. I would still order this again. If it doesn't work again, then I will stop. DoMyOwn service is outstanding. They have a stellar selection of products.

By T on 11/24/2014
We used this at a rental my daughter moved into - she seen immediate results although it did not last - we need to retreat at this time - seems like they came back worse - I think we should have done a two pronged approach. We will retreat and hopefully get rid of them for good this time.

It Helps
By C on 01/28/2016
My parents ordered the Magnum formula for their daycare. Within a week the bugs ceased. Though I thought I ordered the Magnum formula, I used the max that came in the mail anyway. Error on my part or not, this gel worked very well. I had a horrible infestation. I paid a lot to exterminators with no good results. At one point I thought the formula they put down were feeding them. Most of the bugs are gone. I still see a couple of them crawling around at lights out time. I will definitely get the magnum formula and supplement it with the birth control products. Hopefully I can get the results my dad got

Effective for Roaches
By Jim on 01/10/2017
I've had good results with these and bought them after the Terminex serviceman told me that this is what they use for roaches. My only complaint is that the company only includes one pusher for 4 tubes and maybe two (not sure, maybe one) screw-on needle applicator. I mean, how much could it cost to give us one for each tube? I cut some pieces of PVC pipe for spare pushers. They are a bit expensive to hand out to tenants with roach problems so we usually go into the units to apply ourselves or hand out some of the roach bait stations.
Expert response:
Thank you for your comments! The baits that we sell are professional baits designed to be used in a bait gun. However, we supply a plunger per order as a courtesy to those not ordering a bait gun. We do not supply a plunger per tube since this is an out-of-pocket expense and plungers are reuseable. We sell extra plungers here:
http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/plungers-for-bait-syringes-p-1967.html?sub_id=305
We also sell bait guns here:
http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bait-guns-c-29_196.html
You can also use a similar shaped item such as a highligher or marker in a pinch. Please let us know if we can further assist you. We appreciate your comments and your business!
