Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is a pre-emergent herbicide only, so it will not kill any existing weeds like a post emergent does. You should be applying pre-emergent in early Spring before soil temps reach 55 degrees for weed prevention, and then in late Summer/Fall as temperatures drop before they reach about 60 degrees.
