As long as the plants, flowers, etc are actively growing, Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food should be applied every 7-14 days.

Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food is designed to be used for acid-loving plants such as hydrangeas, azaleas, and rhododendrons; it is not appropriate for  edible plants.

I accidentally spilled several drops of a Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food mixed solution on a brisket, can I still cook the meat?

No, Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food cannot come in contact with any food or food handling devices. If it has touched any portion of it, you will need to discard it.

What should I do if Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food was accidentally applied to petunias?
A

While Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food mentions azaleas, rhododendrons, and hibiscus on the packaging specifically, the product label says it's safe for all plants therefore can be used on petunias.

The higher iron and acid content in Miracid is ideal for petunias and other annuals and sometimes recommended to alternate with Miracle-Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food when caring for petunias

Can Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food(Miracid) be used with Wintergreen plants (gaultheria procumbens)?
A

Wintergreen (Gaultheria Procumbens) seldom need fertilization, but should be in well drained soil, rich in organic matter, which a PH of 5.5-6.5.  If needed to lower the PH levels in the surrounding soil, you could consider using Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food as directed on the label to increase the acidity levels.  

You could also contact the master gardener at your local extension office for more specific information on caring for Wintergreen plants.

Are my hydrangea's ruined or injured if I applied Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food too soon after my last application?

Only time will tell if there is injury from applying Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food too soon.  What happens more is the nutrients are not in the soil still when the plants are actively growing and needing them so you may need to reapply following the instructions on the label.

Is it better to use an all purpose or Miracid Miracle-gro fertilizer for Hibiscus?

Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food is ideal for acid loving plants including Rhododendrons, Azaleas, and Hydrangeas.  You could consider using Ferti-lome Hibiscus and Tropical Plant Food 17-7-10 which provides the unique needs of Hibiscus and other tropical plants with its 17-7-10 N-P-K formulation, and is formulated to increase the development of the blooms, particularly with its size, color, and quantity.

What can I use to acidify the soil under maple trees, Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food?

My 4 "Acer -X Fremani Siennaglen" maple trees about 30-40 ft. tall have never had the promised Fall color. I have been told my soil probably needs to be more acid. What's the best way ?

Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food is designed for acid-loving shrubs such as azaleas and hydrangeas. We recommend a pH test or full Soil Kit test if you have not done one in several years. If you do need to lower the pH, then you can use a sulfur product such as Hi-Yield Soil Sulfur for this application.
