From the directions for Image Concentrate:"The mixing rate is 2.5 fl oz in a gallon of water if you are doing a spot treatment. If you are treating a larger area, you will use 0.8 fl oz in a gallon of water. This will cover 200 square feet." I do not completely understand using less product for a larger area. Thank you for the help.
When the product label states the rate of Image Kills Nutsedge Concentrate for "larger areas," that is in regards to a broadcast application. When broadcasting the product, you are only covering 200 sq ft per gallon at a time. 1 gallon of finished solution, generally speaking, normally, would cover up to 1000 sq ft of area. Since you are using the whole gallon of finished solution (0.8 oz per gallon of water) in only a 200 sq ft area as instructed, it would be equivalent to spot spraying different areas at the 2.5 oz per gallon of water rate because you would be spraying more (volume wise) in the larger area.
