Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide previously known as Agri-Fos Systemic Fungicide is very effective in controlling plant diseases such as Pythophthora, downy mildew, pythium, black spot, root rot, anthracnose, and more. It contains mono- and di-potassium salts of phosphorous acid and it functions as both a curative and preventive treatment to plants. It may be applied as a foliar spray, soil drench, by soil incorporation, through basal bark treatment and as a bare root dip. It can be used in trees, turf, ornamentals, in landscapes and interiorscapes, and bedding plants.
UPDATE: Product has a new name but it is the same exact product.
This product may not be used in New York for tree injection.

GENERAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
For foliar sprays, apply AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide with sufficient water volumes for adequate coverage of foliage, according to plant type and growth stage. To ensure good coverage, spray to wetness, but avoid run-off.
When applying AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide to plant species for the first time, spray a limited number of plants first and wait for 3-7 days. Then check for leaf burn (phytotoxicity).
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
LANDSCAPE APPLICATIONS
Use AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide for effective control of Phytophthora and Pythium spp. and other diseases associated with Sudden Oak Death, Beech Decline, and general tree decline syndromes. Apply AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide to trees such as, but not limited to, Beech, Cedar, Chestnut, Crab Apple, Dogwood, Elm, Fir, Juniper, Linden, Pine, Oaks (Coastal, Live, Shreve, Black, Canyon), Ornamental Pear, Sweet Birch, Sweet Gum, Sycamore, White Pine, White Cedar, and Willow.
Make applications before disease development and in conjunction with good cultural management practices. Use higher rate of application when disease pressure is severe. Do not exceed indicated application rates or apply more frequently than stated on label or tree injury may occur. Do not apply to trees that are heat or moisture stressed. Do not apply to trees that are in a state of dormancy. Do not exceed indicated spray intervals or label rates in order to avoid tree injury.
ORNAMENTAL APPLICATIONS
Use AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide for effective control of Bacterial blight, Downy mildew, Phytophthora spp. and Pythium spp. diseases, and Sudden Oak Death of ORNAMENTALS in landscapes and interiorscapes. Apply AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide to plants such as, but not limited to, Aglaonema, Anthurium, Aphelandra, Arborvitae, Azaleas, Bougainvillea, Boxwood, Cattelya skinneri, Ceanothus, Cotoneaster, Cissus, Diffenbachia, English ivy, Eucalyptus, Ficus, Hibiscus, Japanese andromeda, Japanese Holly, Leather leaf Fern, Peperomia, Photinia, Pittosporum, Philodendron, Pieris, Pothos, Rhododendron, Roses (container, landscape, mini varieties), Schefflera, Sedum, Sempervivum, Syngonium, Spathiphyllum, Taxus media, and Zygocactus.
Make applications before disease development and in conjunction with good cultural management practices. Use higher rate of application when disease pressure is severe. Apply AGRI-FOS Systemic Fungicide to plants such as, but not limited to, Ageratum, Algerian Ivy, Anthurium, Artemesia, Aster, Begonia, Baby’s Breath, Caladium, Carnation, Chrysanthemum, Columbine, Coleus, Daisy, Delphinium, Easter Lily, English Ivy, Foxglove, Gaillardia, Geranium, Gloxinia, Impatiens, Lavender, Marigold, Petunia, Pansy, Phlox, Pinks, Poinsettia, Primrose, Prostrate Rosemary, Salvia, Snapdragon, Vinca, Verbena, and Zinnia.

It is really works

I have a problem with ceder rust on my apple trees, bacterial leaf spot disease on my cherry and peach trees. My trees were severely affected! After first application all symptoms were stopped, but in two weeks symptoms have returned on remain foliage, so I had to make another application. In two more weeks all my trees showed up more new healthy growth and today, on the middle of summer, all my trees are absolutely healthy and, it seems, happy! I should use this product in early spring, and I'm definitely going to do it next year.

Agri-fos for pansy and snapdragon rot

We plant a lot of pansies and snapdragons in the fall. Stem rot and root rot can be a problem at times, especially in overly wet soils caused by long stretches of rainy weather or if the sprinklers are over watering. Treatment with this systemic product has given us 100% positive results in a test treatment of 20 flats of annuals planted in several different soils and locations. It worked as both a preventative and a curative in some flowers that had disease prior to treatment. This stuff looks like a keeper.

I am giving this product the benefit of doubt since I can't prove its performance yet. It will take a couple of months though when it gets really hot in the summer in Mississipp. My italian cypress trees have a fungus and I read where this product and Cleary 3336f will heal it. I am still waiting to see the results.

How often can it be applied?
Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide is not labeled to target Volutella blight only Fire Blight, and Bacterial Blight.
Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide is no longer stable after it has frozen and then thawed back out. We would not recommend using it.
Can I use Phos on Haworthia, masteries, aloes, euphorbias, and cacti? What would be the mix? Thank you,

I battle several fungicides in my yard and need to track against resistance and want to know where this one fits in?
Monterey Garden Phos can be used to treat and prevent sudden oak death and many other oak diseases. It is applied at the rate of 16 fl oz Monterey Garden Phos + 16 fl. oz. of water + 1.6 fl. oz. PentraBark.. Please see the label for full application instructions.
I bought this product from you to cure or control root rot in my Pelargoniums. There is no specific dosage listed for Pelargoniums, which are not real Geraniums. There IS a listing for REAL Geraniums under "bedding plants", but Monterey support told me to use the dosage found under "ornamentals". The dosage (for soil drench) is flaky. It says, 1/2 - 6 FLUID OUNCES per 1 - 5 GALLONS. in other words, I could use as much as 6 ounces per gallon or as little as 1/2 ounce per 5 gallons. At the high end, that's equivalent to 12 TABLESPOONS (36 TSP) per gallon. Whereas the soil drench for bedding plants is 1/8 tsp. I asked Monterey to clarify this, but they got upset at me! All I want to know is what is a SAFE and effective dosage for a soil drench for my indoor pelargoniums.
Unfortunately, typically once the plant is impacted or showing signs of root rot disease, there is no cure or remediation to save the plant. It is recommended to immediately discard infected plants after a positive diagnosis is made and then discard unwanted plants at the end of the season. Disinfect all gardening tools, prep surfaces, as well as gloves and washing your hands when handling soil, clippings or matter from the infested plant to prevent spreading.
Regarding the use of Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide and since it is not labeled for this application treatment, the advised ornamental rate they provided would be the only thing to go by even though it is a broad range of 0.5 fl to 6 fl oz per 1 to 5 gallons. The low rate is most of the time for preventative applications and the higher rate is for high pest pressure.

Monterey Agri-Fos Systemic Fungicide is not actually labeled to treat for rust.
They have fungal like blemish.

Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide can be applied as either a foliage spray as directed on the product label. You can rotate between fungicides to prevent resistance
This was recommended by our arborist to treat Red Push trees suffering form Texas Root Rot. The tree is about 4 years old, still relatively small, and sits in soil covered in rock in about 4' x 4' space.
Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment once the infection is established; the best course of action is usually to remove the affected tree and prevent further spread by planting resistant varieties in the area, as the fungus is soil-borne and can infect other plants.
While the Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide is not specifically labeled for Chinese Red Push Pistache trees, it does have labeling to control root rot on a variety of edible and ornamental plants and trees. In the tree section, it states to " Use 2 to 4 tsp. per gallon of water. Apply one gallon of solution per sq. yd. Follow application with irrigation. Application intervals: 14 to 21 days. Repeat as required"I have a cactus with reddish spots and I believe it to be fusarium.
Unfortunately, we do not have a definitive answer for you regarding treatment of cacti since they are so different than other plants. We recommend contacting a your local Master Gardener for better assisting in dealing with these plants.
Avocado Tree that lost all leaves
Yes, Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide is labeled to treat root rot in Avocado trees. Please follow the instructions on page 2 of the manufacturers label.
The magnolia tree has dark black bark which we were told is fungi
