What can I use to control nematodes in my zoysia grass?
I've been told I have the bad nematodes that are eating the roots of my zoyzia grass. What can I use to rid the lawn of these? I put down lime, fertilizer, and organic matter in the fall. I put down more organic and lime in winter. I have a large bare spot where there used to be a gorgeous patch of grass.

  • Asked by Joan from Spring, Texas

    Q
I have a lawn service that sprays my yard for weeds and other things. Will it affect the Monterey Nematode Control?
If I spray the Nematode control and then my lawn service comes several days later, will the product that they spray defeat the purpose of the nematodes? I want to try the nematodes for fire ants. I have been told it does help.
    A

We apologize but cannot say if what the lawn care company uses will affect an applicaiton of Monterey Nematode Control as we do not know what products they would spray.  We will say that the Nematode Control is not labeled for fire ants so cannot recommend it be used for them.
