It is recommended to wait 24 hours after MSM Turf Herbicide has been applied before watering the lawn.
MSM Turf Herbicide states to use 0.5 fl oz to 1 fl oz per acre for foxtail but it is not labeled for horsenettle. If you are treating 10 acres, you would use 5 fl oz to 10 fl oz for 10 acres. hat would be 5oz-10z for all 10 acres. High volume ground application will require 100 to 400 gallons of water per acre; Low volume ground application will require 20 to 50 gallons of water per acre; and ultra-low volume ground application will require 10 to 20 gallons of water per acre. Regardless of the application volume and equipment used, thorough coverage of the foliage is necessary to optimize results
For horsenettle, Milestone Specialty Herbicide would be recommeneded at the rate of 5 fl oz to 7 fl oz per acre. Please refer to page 5 of the product label for more specific information.
A Non Ionic Surfactant is recommended on both product labels for MSM Turf and Milestone Herbicide for best results.
MSM Turf Herbicide is not labeled for lawn burweed.
An alternative to Celsius WG to treat lawn burweed would be Certainty Herbicide. This is safe for warm season turfgrasses and labeled to control lawn burweed with the use of a Non Ionic Surfactant. A second application may be required 4 to 6 weeks following the initial application for complete control.
For smaller lawns, Image Kill Nutsedge Concentrate could be used.
During warm/summer months, applications should be done in early morning or late afternoon/evening when temperatures are coolest and between 65-85 degrees to prevent injuring turf.
MSM Turf Herbicide is not labeled to control dallisgrass.

You will use 0.5 to 1.0 oz of MSM Turf Herbicide per acre for control of Virginia buttonweed. Per the product label, a subsequent application after 4-6 weeks may be needed. This breaks down to approx 0.005 to 0.01 oz per 1 gallon. If you only have a small area you can spot treat. If it is all over the lawn it is best to broadcast. You would use the 0.01 oz per gallon for spot treating.

MSM Turf Herbicide can be tank mixed with other products such as Image Kills Nutsedge Concentrate provided there are no tank mixing restrictions on either product label and a Compatibility Test is done prior to mixing in a full tank sprayer. Follow the more restrictive instructions and the proper dilution rates for each product and if you have not used these products on the turf together before, then you may want to test a small area before making broadcast applications to test turf tolerance.
MSM Turf Herbicide is labeled for oxalis also known as woodsorrel. Per the product label, the rate for Oxalis is 0.33 oz to 0.5 oz per acre. Refer to the product label for the recommended application rate for your specific turfgrass to determine if you should apply at 0.33 oz or 0.5 oz per acre.
Yes, Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide is labeled Virginia Buttonweed at the rate of 0.5 to 1 oz per acre depending on the type of turfgrass you have. MSM Turf is labeled safe for Fine Fescue varities at the rate of ¼ to ½ oz per acre therefore for targeting Virginia Buttonweed, you will apply at the 0.5 oz per acre rate with a second application 4 to 6 weeks later if needed.
For Tall Fescue, the product label states that this product may temporarily stunt tall fescue, cause it to turn yellow, or cause seedhead suppression. View the Fescue Precautions Section on page 34 of the product label for more information.
Per the manufacturer, their recommended rate to use MSM Turf Herbicide for spot applications is of 0.1 oz per 4 gallons of water, which can be easily measured with their measuring device provided.

MSM Turf Herbicide is labeled to kill wild onions. With MSM turf herbicide you will need to know how much water it takes to cover 1000 sq ft of lawn as herbicides are applied at rates per 1000 sq ft, not per gallon of water. Water is only acting as the carrier so you want to ensure enough water volume is used.
To determine how much water you need, we recommend doing a “mock” application with plain water. Mark off an area of 1,000 sq ft (50ft x 20ft), fill your sprayer with plain water and apply just as you will for the application. This will tell you how much water you need per 1000 sq ft. For wild onion, the rate is 0.33 oz to 0.5 oz per acre. This breaks down to be 0.02 to 0.06 grams per 1,000 sq ft.
For example, if treating 4,000 sq ft using a 4 gallon sprayer. You would use 0.8 to 0.24 oz per 4 gallons of water covering roughly 4,000 sq feet.
Yes, MSM Turf Herbicide would a good option for eliminating the rest of your overseeded rye and any winter weeds that may be emerging in order to allow the bermudgrass in your yard to thrive. If the bermuda is dormant you can go ahead and treat now. You would use between 0.5 to 1 oz per acre for rye control in bermuda. This comes out to about 0.0227 oz per 1000 sq/ft in 1-2 gallons of water.
Yes, you can apply MSM during dormancy or after complete green-up of the Bermuda lawn in the spring. You don't want to apply any weed controls to the lawn during spring green-up since this is when the grass is in its most fragile state.
MSM Turf Herbicide treated areas are safe to return to once they are completely dry. Pets should not be present during application or while wet. Drying time can vary.

How much MSM Turf Herbicide you use will depend on the size of the area you are covering as well as the type of turfgrass you are treating. So if you are treating 1 acre of Bermudagrass and applying 1 oz of MSM per Acre, then you first need to determine how much water you will use to treat that 1 acre. If your 14 gallons of solution will only cover 1/4 acre, then you would use 0.25 oz of MSM Herbicide per tank. If your 14 gallons will cover 1/2 acre, then you would use 0.5 oz of MSM Herbicide per tank.

You should not mow 2-3 days before or after the application of MSM Turf Herbicide as mowing stresses the turf which can affect the uptake/absorption of the herbicide.
MSM Turf Herbicide is best applied when target weeds are actively growing and healthy, usually best between temperatures above 55 and below 85.
