Nuvan Directed Spray Aerosol can be applied to cracks and crevices in the closet that stores books. We recommend that you loosely place books in a bag or plastic container and add a NuVan ProStrip and leave for 2 weeks to 4 months. Please let us know what insect that you are targeting for more helpful treatment information.
Nuvan Directed Spray is labeled for bees, the label states, "spray localized infested areas where they light, nest and/or harbor. Repeat if the insects return, but not more than one time per month." Using a dust to treat the nests directly is more highly recommended.
Our most popular dust is Tempo 1% Dust. If you know where the opening is where the bees are going in and out, and you dust that opening, the bees will get the dust on the hair on their legs and carry it back to the nesting area. Usually this will eradicate a bee colony within 24 - 48 hours depending on the size. It is best to treat the opening late at night or very early morning when they are all inside and less active.
Nuvan Directed Spray Aerosol is not labeled for use in vehicles. It is meant for use in residential and commercial sites, garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewer), entry ways, offices, locker rooms, mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, garages, mop closets or storage rooms. It would not be safe to use Nuvan Directed Spray Aerosol in a vehicle that you use daily. The only product that we can recommend for use in a vehicle for bed bugs would be Steri-Fab which does not leave any residual or harmful fumes.
Nuvan Directed Spray Aerosol can be used inside the wall voids for various pests. It is recommended that you thoroughly inspect and treat areas where bed bugs may hide, travel, harbor or lay eggs. Treat surfaces of baseboards, floors, molding, and other infested areas where bed bugs may hide, lay eggs or travel not more than once a month. Remove furniture coverings including bed linens and blankets. Infested coverings, bedding and linens should be sealed in a plastic bag and then removed for laundering and run in a hot clothes dryer for a sufficient time and temperature to destroy all bed bugs that may be present. To avoid staining or discoloration of furniture surfaces, make an application to a hidden area of items to be treated to test for potential staining or discoloration before making a complete application. Inspect the mattress, box spring, bed frame and other furniture thoroughly for the presence of bed bugs and bed bug eggs. Dismantle beds and other furniture as needed to inspect and treat mattress, box springs, bed frame, and headboard. Inspect and treat furniture and other items where bed bugs and bed bug eggs may be present such as night stands, chairs, couches, futons, tables, desks, artwork, wall hangings, luggage, books, shelving and other items where bed bugs may hide
