While Crossbow Specialty Herbicide - 2, 4-D & Triclopyr can be used to kill a variety of tree types, including palm trees, you would not be allowed to treat anything that is not on your own property or without permission from the owner of the neighboring property. You also cannot treat part of a tree to stop branches from hanging over, so anything growing over from a neighbor's yard would need to be pruned/trimmed back to prevent overgrowth on the fence. There will not be a granule product for killing trees, as usually it is recommended to cut the tree down and apply products like Crossbow and other brush and tree killing products directly to the fresh cut stump. If that is not an option, hacks should be made with a hatchet or similar tool to the trunk to expose parts of the inner tree, and sprayed thoroughly on the bark and foliage.
