    Can I apply diatomaceous earth to the tops of carpets after using Precor IGR concentrate?
    A
    Yes, you can apply Precor IGR, allow it to fully dry, and then apply Diatomaceous Earth. Diatomaceous Earth is labeled for fleas and other crawling insects and will definitely help but because it is slow acting you will most likely need to treat with another product first to help get the flea and ticks under control. DE takes about a week to kill an insect and in that time the insects can continue to bite, breed and lay eggs. You can apply Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth under carpet. We recommend to go ahead and vacuum the carpets. This help to bring the fleas up to the surface and in contact with the D.E. You want to stick with applications to, cracks and crevices; behind and beneath appliances, cabinets, and garbage areas; around sewer pipes, drains, foundations, and windows; in attics and basements; on patios; along baseboards; under carpeting; in and around pet bedding and sleeping quarters. Please check out our video How to Get Rid of Fleas. We would recommend that you treat with a product such as Aline Flea Insectcide with IGR which will give you a fast knockdown of the biting adults and residual control of the developing fleas and ticks. It is very important to vacuum immediately before the treatment and every day or every other day for the following 14 days. At the end of the 14 day period you will most likely need to re-treat to get rid of any stragglers. You must also treat all of your animals with an approved flea/tick product so that you are not re-infesting the house. Precor 2000 is safe to use in a house with pets as long as you follow the product label. All pets should be out of the area that is being treated and they can return as soon as the area is dry.

    Is this safe to use in a vegetable garden?
    Similar to herb garden question- is it safe for use near vegetable garden or in the soil of vegetables in big pots? What about on vegetable plants? Is there a better product to purchase if goal is to keep bugs from eating plants?

    This product is not labeled for use on herbs or other edible plants. We do carry may products that can be used on edible plants. Which one is best for your use will depend on the insects you are targeting and which specific edible plants you are treating.

    Do you sell Organic Diatomaceous Earth in 25 or 50 pound bags?

    We do not currently sell any diatomaceous earth in a quantity of this size. The largest quantity that we sell is St. Gabriel's Organics Diatomaceous Earth, in 4.4 lb. bags.

    I have bedbugs, cockroaches and spiders many bugs is Organic Diatomaceous Earth what I need?

    When treating for bedbugs and roaches we recommend using one of our kits specific for those tough to treat insects. The Bed Bug Kit and Roach Control Kits contain the necessary products to do a full treatment. Unfortunately there is not 1 product that will fully eradicate a bed bug or a roach infestation.     Does Organic Diatomaceous Earth have an effect on carpet beetles? Can it be applied to cracks and crevices and behind wall voids?

    Yes, Organic Diatomaceous Earth is labeled for use on carpet beetles. You will apply the product with a duster in the cracks, crevices, behind and beneath appliances, cabinets, behind light plate/electrical outlets, etc.

    How to apply Organic Diatomaceous Earth?
    also will it work if exterminators can't get rid of the roaches in a house. Been back 3 times and still there.

    Organic Diatomaceous Earth  is applied through a hand duster llike the Bellow Hand duster.  To eradicate roaches, we recommend to use one of our Roach control Kits.

    Why is there a Food Grade sticker on Organic Diatomaceous Earth?
    Why would you be allowed to use this label on a bag (4.4lbs Insect dust) as food grade?
    A

    Organic Diatomaceous Earth has a food grade approval as it is safe to use around people and animals versus other products that also contain Diatomaceous earth, i.e pool grade DE which is not considered safe.  Being food grade does not mean that is safe for human consumption, and per the manufacturer this should not be done as it is manufacturered on the same machinery that produces things you should not ingest.

    How do I treat my house for ticks using Diatomaceous Earth?
    Can I sprinkle it on carpet/ upholstery alike and just vacuum?

    Organic Diatomaceous Earth can be used for ticks indoors only as a crack and crevice treatment, applied with a hand duster. Diatomaceous Earth works very slowly on insects, so we would not recommend this be the sole treatment for ticks. Our Indoor Flea and Tick Kit would be a great choice for you since it also includes NyGuard Plus spray, which has both a quick knockdown and an Insect Growth Regulator to help control ticks longterm.     Can Organic Insect Dust Diatomaceous Earth be used around wiring ??
    I read it could be used for insulation. I've got some wires going from floor to under the house. Hole too big. Wanted to use DE for a little insulation to keep cold out.

    Organic Insect Dust Diatomaceous Earth is not labeled to be used for insulation.  It should be lightly dusted in voids and cracks and crevices where insects are found.
