For spot treatments using PastureGard HL for curly dock and similar broadleaf weeds, you can use 0.37 oz – 1.47 oz of PasturedGard HL per gallon of water to treat 1000 sq ft. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
PastureGard HL is applied at 1.5 - 4 pints per acre, in at least 10 gallons of water per acre. We usually recommend at least 30 gallons per acre for the best coverage, but this really depends on your equipment, speed, etc. You can always calibrate your spray equipment using just water in your tank before adding herbicide to be sure you are applying the correct amount of product. You did not mention the specific weed(s) you are applying, but there is a detailed chart on page 4 of the product label, along with volume charts on the following page.
For smaller brush (less than about 6 feet tall), 1.5 - 2 pints/acre will be sufficient. For larger brush and mixed brush canopies, apply 2 - 4 pints/acre.
PastureGard HL is not labeled to target pennywort (dollarweed).
Unfortunately, ornamentals, trees and other plants can be susceptible to an application of PastureGard HL. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
Unfortunately, we do not have any products that are labeled for use in grazing/pasture areas for nutsedge. We recommend contacting your local Dept of Ag for a product selection to fit your needs. There may be agricultural products that are available that we cannot obtain.
