Penetration through multiple touching boards?

I saw that Bora-Care can penetrate 4 inches into untreated wood. Can it penetrate from one thin board to another that is touching up against it? (I have 3-2x8s together, and only the front one is accessible to spray, three.) How optimistic should I be that Bora Care will penetrate past the first of the three 2x8s? Thanks for your great answers!

Bora-Care will only penetrate the wood that it is applied to directly.
