Flea infestation
By Mark on 05/18/2012
Had a major flea infestation, probably wasted 2 weeks trying to get control of the problem with store products, don't waste your time with local store killers. Found do my own pest control, purchased permethrin and an igr and immediately got control of the situation. With a major infestation, don't be surprised if you have to make several applications over a 2 week period and thats due to the flea life cycle, but this stuff is the best and a local exterminator agreed.

... hmmmm
By J on 12/25/2015
My dog had ticks, so I mixed and sprayed per instructions mixed at 1/4 fl.oz per pint ... didn't do squat, so I decided to test on live ticks, and was able to verify out of 10 ticks 9 survived for more than 1 hour at the the rated concentration. Increased the dosage and tested again with double , but it did not kill all 10 ticks until I mixed 5/8 fl.oz to each pint. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I am going back to Talstar

Japanese Beetles
By Hildegard on 07/16/2010
My yard had literally thousand of beetles this year. In my 50 years of gardening I never encountered any until last year. They loved the Crepe Myrtles, Virginia creeper, Pussy Willow, blooms on the Oak Hydrangea, and I even had them on the Echinacea petals and inside the Day lily blossoms. Permethrin SFR, just 10 cc per gallon of water had them eliminated within 2 days. There are just a few stragglers now and in the last few days. Doing it myself saved me much money, thank you for making it available to the private consumer. Directions must be followed to avoid damage to plants and/or pets. I had no unwanted results this way.

Great Product
By Daniel on 09/26/2010
I ordered the Permethrin after a little online research. It worked very well. I have no signs of fire ants all along my fence line or any more of those crazy Rasberry Ants either.....all after one application. As for domyownpestcontrol.com, they shipped the product as advertised in a very timely manner. I will definitely do business with them again.

Great Value---Quick Shipping
By Jason on 09/12/2011
Bought for a tick infestation in Miami, Florida. Product is highly concentrated, so it's very economical for use with a hose sprayer for treating lawn. Seemed to be effective, particularly when combined with Preventic collars on the dogs. Ordering was easy and they shipped very quickly.

We need to knock down a heavy chicken mite infestation and need to treat the chickens ,coops and yard. Can we dip the chickens and if we use a dialed hose sprayer what would we put it on to spray the yard?
Permethrin SFR 36.8% does state the following on the label for poultry and livestock animals and can be used for both northern fowl mites and lice: Consult a veterinarian before using this product on medicated, debilitated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. It cannot be used a dip only as instructed on the product label directly on chickens and around poultry house.
I purchased Permethrin SFR this spring to spray my trees (mostly pine} and wondering how long do I need to wait to spray a second time? concentration was 1 qt / 20 gallons
Permethrin SFR 36.8% can be sprayed every 30 days outside.
Commercial use on U Pick Hybrid Blackberry bushes infected with Cane Borers heavily
Permethrin SFR 36.8% cannot be used on any type of edibles. You can view our Edible Garden Products Here. Be sure to consult the product labels for approved uses and plants.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% is not directly labeled for noseeums. Bifen IT is a very popular product to apply outdoors to a yard for noseeums. We also have a great article for them here.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% cannot be used on corn. Monterey Bug Buster-O would be a better option. Pyrethrins will degrade very rapidly in the sunlight. To make sure of getting the best performance, total coverage of the plant is most important.
Permethrin is not systemic so if I apply it to the soil around fruit trees it will not get absorbed into the tree thru the root system. Therefore the fruit is safe for consumption……Yes or No?
Permethrin SFR 36.8% is not a systemic product and is only labeled to be used on specific fruit trees in residential sites only. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions on fruit trees and time to harvest after application.

My garden is 60 square feet. I would like to try Permethrin this year. I am getting mixed advice. Dust and cover soil, liquid, percentage of product to use? I would like to hear your advice and how and what to use. Thank you
The Permethrin SFR 36.8% that you are asking about cannot be shipped into the state of NY without a pest control license to purchase it. Permethrin also would not be recommended as the best option for caterpillars or worms in the soil nor is it labeled to be used on edible crops. Most caterpillar control comes from spraying the foliage of the plants they may try to ingest or damage during the first signs of insect activity during the season. A popular choice for this would be Southern Ag Thuricide.
According to the Permethrin SFR 36.8% product label, you may spray 4 fl oz to 10 gallons of water. For severe infestation, it is permissible to use 4 fl oz to 4 gallons.
When treating poultry directly: Use 1-4 fl oz in 3 3/4 gallons water, which should treat roughly 375 birds. Use 1 gallon of coarse spray per 100 birds."
