Phantom is a non-repellent and if applied too strongly, the termites will not be able to carry the product back to the colony. Termites should always be treated at 1.5 oz. per gallon of water.

Read Full Answer »Phantom will kill termites that come into contact with the product, even at the higher dosage. We do recommend that you read and follow the product label instructions to be sure you are using Phantom the way that the manufacturer intends it to be used.
Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide only has a residual of about 90 days on surfaces.  It should only be used to directly treat active infestations inside wood and not just to the surface of wood for prevention if you are dealing with termites.
