We apologize but the Osmocote Flower & Vegetable Smart Release Plant Food only gives rates for applying to inground plants, not plants in pots.  We would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly to confirm rates and if you can use on potted plants.  They can be reached at 888-270-3714
