With a product like Pramitol 5PS, you need to make sure you are using the correct amount of product, versus the amount of water used. Per the product label: For annual broadleaf weeds and grasses, you will use 0.35-0.46 lb. per 100 sq. ft. For most perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses, you will use 0.70-0.92 lb. per 100 sq. ft. The higher rates should be used in areas where there is long growing season or high rainfall. It will also provide longer residual control. We normally recommend using the product in at least 2-4 gallons per 1000 sq. ft.
Pramitol 5PS must be mixed with water as directed on the product label so cannot be applied with a granule spreader.
Both Pramitol 5PS and Pramitol 25E are soil sterilizers, when killing actively growing weeds they work best when mixed with something like RoundUp QuikPro if you want to achieve bareground. Although Pramitol 5PS is no longer available.
Unfortunately, normally, to reverse the effects of a product such as Pramitol 5PS, it would need to be done immediately after the application. Sometimes using an activated charcoal product and watering the area may help within the first couple of hours after the application.
