DoMyOwnPestControl.com & Its Customers Donate $40k to Childhood Cancer Research
September was childhood cancer awareness month and DoMyOwnPestControl.com teamed up with its customers and raised $40,000 for childhood cancer research, which currently only get’s 4% of the Government’s allocated funds for cancer research.
During the month of September DoMyOwnPestControl.com customers were given the option to round up their purchase total to the nearest dollar amount and to donate it to childhood cancer research. Thousands of donations were made throughout the month. Combined with a percentage of overall sales throughout September, and a Labor Day 5% matching sale, DoMyOwnPestControl.com will be able to write a check to the Rally Foundation for $40,000 to help fund childhood cancer research.
DoMyOwnPestControl.com would like to thank the many people who made donations throughout September and have helped to raise awareness for this greatly under-funded cause. The donations and support given will have a great impact in the fight to find a cure for childhood cancers.
On June 18th, 2014, one of the owners of DoMyOwnPestControl.com learned that his son, Grant, had been diagnosed with stage four Neuroblastoma Cancer. Ironically, DoMyOwnPestControl.com had been donating to the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for several years prior to receiving this news, and they continue to sponsor the WSB Radio Care-A-Thon each year to help raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Despite September now behind us, you can still help. DoMyOwnPestControl.com asks for your continued support to help all the children currently fighting this disease, and the 46 new children diagnosed with pediatric cancer every day. Please visit the Granting Grace Foundation for more information on how you can help.
