I'm trying to treat Pearl scale grubs in flood irrigated residential Bermuda

    Q
Can you mix Prime Source Imidacloprid 2F Select T/I with Bifen IT?
    A

We would need to know more information in order to accurately answer that question. Typically Bifen I/T and Prime Source Imidacloprid would not be tank mixed together. The only situation we could see this occurring in would be if you needed to apply imidacloprid to a lawn for grubs and soil insects, while also treating a lawn for crawling pests such as ants, spiders, millipedes, fleas, etc. If this is the application scenario, yes you can tank mix the two for use in the same area. If this is not the treatment area, please provide that information and pest name and we would be happy to help further.

  • Asked by Susan from Wintergreen, Virginia

    Q
Is Prime Source Imidacloprid effective in treating for carpenter ants? How should it be applied ?
I have had carpenter ants damage to a house in a very wooded mountain location. Is this product good for treating carpenter ants and should it be sprayed around the house itself or should it be sprayed in the tree areas around the house? Will it hurt the wildlife?
    A

Yes, Prime Source Imidacloprid 2F Select T/I is labeled for carpenter ants as a spot treatment in wood for active infestations and outside around the perimeter as a spray as well as around trees.   Complete instructions on the product label.

The product also recommends ; Remove or prune away any shrubbery, bushes, and tree branches touching the structure. Vegetation touching the structure may offer a route of entry for ants into the structure. This may allow ants to inhabit the structure without coming in contact with the treatment. If nests are found, direct treatment of this product can be made to these nests.

It is safe for wildlife once dry.

  • Asked by Steve from Cape Coral

    Q
Can I mix Imidacloprid and Prodamamine together in the same tank sprayer for Floratam grass?
    A

Yes, Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) can be tank mixed with other pesticides as long as you follow the most restrictive instructions out of the two products you will be tank mixing.
According to the product label of Prodiamine 65 WDG, as long as you are following the most restrictive instructions of the products you choose. "When using Prodiamine 65WDG in a tank mixture with other pesticides, observe the most restrictive label limitations and precautions on the labels of the products used. Before tank mixing with other pesticides not named on this label, compatibility must be tested." See the COMPATIBILITY TEST section on page 6 of the product label. We normally suggest making two separate applications instead of one tank mix with herbicides and insecticides. If your lawn is under stress, we would recommend doing separate applications.
