I have over seeded last fall September 2019, and planning to use pre-emergent Prodiamine to control Japanese stilt grass this spring April 2020. On the label it says use for "established turf grasses" . theoretically the grass seeded last fall is not considered established until after 2-3 years, correct? Is it still safe to use it on the over seeded area from last fall?
Per the Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) product label: To reduce the potential to injure overseeded turf, wait 60 days after seeding or until after the second mowing, whichever is longer, before applying Prodiamine 65WDG. So enough time has passed for you to use though we will say that Prodiamine is not labeled to prevent Japanese Stiltgrass and there is no pre-emergent that we are aware that will.
