Prodiamine 65 WDG -use 1.1 tsp or 3.3 tsp per 1k sq ft/gallon - which one?

Hi, I am reading about Prodiamine 65 wdg and am a bit confused about measuring what my lawn needs. Several of the posts suggest 0.185 oz - 0.055 oz for 1k sq ft. This translates to a pretty wide range of 1.1 tsp - 3.3 tsp. How do I know for 1k sq ft whether to use 1.1 tsp or 3.3 tsp or some amount in between? Does it have anything to do with months duration of protection?

Answer:

The rate of Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) you use depends on how long you want the application to last and how many applications you want to do a year.  At the highest rate it can last up to 8 months if you just want to do one application a year, otherwise you can do split applications at lower rates for control anywhere from 2-6 months as directed on the product label for your lawn type.
