Prodiamine and overseeding

I was told i could use Prodiamine in the fall to prevent Poa Annua and still overseed my tttf grass at the same time without the Prodiamine preventing the seed from germinating. Is this true?

Answer:

Per the Prodiamine 65 WDG product label: To reduce the potential to injure overseeded turf, wait 60 days after seeding or until after the second mowing, whichever is longer, before applying Quali-Pro Prodiamine 65 WDG. When to Overseed After Application (All States)* Quali-Pro Prodiamine 65 WDG will inhibit the development of turfgrass species overseeded too soon after application. Follow rates and intervals in the table below for best overseeding/reseeding results When used at the lowest rates, it starts at 4 months after application that you can overseed.
