Product Overview

Aluminum Sulfate is designed to correct the high alkalinity of soil and help lower the pH level. It contains a combination of Aluminum and Sulphur which helps acidify the soil as desired by acid- loving plants and turn hydrangea blooms into blue. This soil conditioner is labeled for use on azaleas, blueberries, camellias, holly, gardenias, yew, dogwood, rhododendrons, viburnum, laurel, cedar, hemlock, and black alder. Product comes in 50 lb. bag.

For use in Azaleas, Rhododendrons, Camellias, Gardenias, Holly, Blueberries, Yew, Dogwood, Viburnum, Laurel, Cedar, Hemlock, and Black Alder.
Application Broadcast evenly, wash off foliage and water. For large shrubs use 1 lb. per 3 ft. of height. For Trees, use 1 lb. per inch of trunk diameter. For small shrubs, use 5 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SHRUBS: Apply at the rate of 1 lb. per 3 ft. height.

TREES: Use 1 lb. per inch of diameter.

TO ACIDIFY SOIL: To correct alkaline soil use 5 lbs. per 100 sq. ft. Wash off foliage and water in well after application.

HYDRANGEAS: Cover soil lightly with Aluminum Sulphate around Hydrangeas and water in well.

Broadcast spreader? Is the aluminum sulfate granular or prilled?

Southern Ag Aluminum Sulfate can be applied using a spreader if covering a large area, or by hand wearing gloves for smaller applications. This is most often used around acid-loving trees and shrubs.
