Southern Ag Lawnstar Granular Insecticide is a dry insecticide formulated to control pests infesting above and below the surface of the lawn and this includes mole crickets, fire ants, and chinch bugs on lawns in residential areas, landscape areas, and perimeters around institutional, commercial, public, and industrial parks, buildings, recreational areas, and athletic fields. The active ingredient, Bifenthrin, a pyrethroid insecticide which works by poisoning the nervous system causing it to shut down and eventually lead to death.

WELL PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS OF THIS ANT/ BUG POISON

The main reason for my order was fire ant control. After reading the instructions I deceded to distribute around the house and I am well pleased. When put on a fire ant mound it did the job and around the home also. I did have some very large black ants around a rotten tree and covered it well with the poison and I do still see some ants, I hope in time they will also be gone.

Coverage rates for Southern Ag Lawnstar Granular Insecticide will vary depending on what you are treating. The label rates are 1.15 – 4.6 lbs. per 1,000 square feet or 1 tablespoon per fire ant mound. Please see the the Label for complete application rates.
