Fertilome MosquitoGo Insect Granules is designed to help control mosquitoes and other nuisance insects. Hand broadcast or use a spreader to apply. Spread outward from building or protected areas. Granules create an irritant scent barrier keeping insect pests away. Apply at a rate of 1 lb. per 200 square feet (5 lbs. per 1,000 square feet). Apply as needed to maintain insect pest control. Apply when lawn and areas surrounding the home are dry. Mow lawn before application.
Repeat applications more often during periods of rain or frequent irrigation.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUCTIONS:
This product can be applied with a hand held, drop, or broadcast (rotary) spreader. For best results, apply this product evenly and uniformly over the treated area avoiding streaking, skips or overlaps.
Before each application, determine the correct amount (lbs.) of product to place in the spreader hopper for the area to be treated. For example, if the label states to apply 5 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. and your area to treat is 2,000 sq. ft. then place 10 lbs. of product in the hopper and set the spreader setting at 4-1/2 (per table below) if using an Accugreen drop spreader.
If using the Ferti-lome Yard Right Hand Held Spreader, place 1 lb. of product in the spreader hopper for each 200 sq. ft. area to be treated. Adjust setting selector to number 2. Apply product evenly over area, walking at an even pace while turning hand crank steadily.
A more uniform application can be made by spreading one-half of the recommended amounts of this product over the treated area and then applying the remaining one-half of this product at a right angle to the previous application direction.
NOTE: The spreader settings listed below are approximate. The speed at which you walk and the working condition of the spreader will affect the rate of application.

Very Effective, at least in the short-term

I applied the complete bag to 3-4,000 square feet of INFESTED area and noticed an immediate drop in mosquitos. Very easy to apply by hand (10 minutes). Very impressed for day 1 and plan on using this as an area repellant before outdoor activities. I saw mosquitos follow the CO2 trail of cars coming in the treated area and quickly 180 out of there. For day 2 and 3 after treatment (and a little rain), I had some more mosquitos show up but not enough to wear spray. We'll see how long it lasts, but impressed so far.
