Product Overview

Florikan with Nutricote Total 18-6-8 180 Day is a 100% controlled-release homogenous fertilizer that provides nourishment to your plants and is designed to continuously release essential nutrients within a 180-day period. It contains a complete package of N-P-K with a higher percentage of nitrate nitrogen, along with micronutrients that your foliage needs to grow strong and healthy. It features Nutricote's resin coating process wherein releasing of nutrients are controlled by the amount of "chemical release agent" added to the resin and its composition. It produces molecular passageways in a maze-like form so when it is applied to the soil, the water penetrates the granule through the passageway and slowly dissolve and control release the nutrients. This results in improved precision and consistency for dependable growth and performance. This unique formula maximizes nutrient uptake, as well as matches lastingness to the crop cycle and will provide excellent crop quality with uniform size and color. It also does not contain urea or NH4 conversion so the potential of burning plants is minimized. Ideal for use one flowering ornamentals, palms, foliage, lines, containerized trees, and ferns. This water-soluble formula comes in 50 lb. bag.

Florikan with Nutricote Total 18 - 6 - 8 180 Day will work perfectly on the topiary and podocarpus. The manufacturer suggested a medium to high rate since you are in Florida.
