Durvet Turn Out Sweat and Waterproof Formula is a ready-to-use insecticide that kills insect pests such as stable flies, gnats, horse flies, mosquitoes, house flies, deer flies, lice, and ticks. It repels insects and provides protection for horses, ponies, dogs, puppies, and foals. Durvet Turn Out Sweat and Waterproof Formula features a water-based formula that may also be used as a premise spray for areas where insects are usually seen. It is proven to be long-lasting, offering protection for up to 14 days. It prevents the spread of diseases caused by insects such as the West Nile Virus. Binds to the hair shaft, making it weatherproof, and protects the animal coat against dust, dirt, rain, and sweat. May be used to wipe on using a soft cloth or as a spray.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

This product is extremely toxic to aquatic organisms, including fish and invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or runoff into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

READ THIS LABEL: Read this entire label and follow all use directions, use restrictions and precautions.

USE RESTRICTIONS

  • For indoor use only.
  • Except when applying to dogs, horses, ponies, or foals, do not allow children, adults, or pets to enter until sprays have dried.
  • Do not apply directly to sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to storm sewers, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow product to enter any drain during or after application.
  • Do not apply as a broadcast treatment to indoor surfaces at residential sites, including nurseries, day care centers, schools, hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Do not contaminate food or feedstuffs.

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE

Hold container upright and spray as directed. Durvet TURN OUT may be applied directly with either a soft cloth or fine mist spray. Do not apply to or allow product to come into contact with cats or kittens.

To operate trigger sprayer, turn tip to the proper setting for fine spray or a pin stream for cracks and crevices, and pump trigger to spray as directed. After use, turn tip to the OFF position to avoid accidental spraying.

APPLICATION DIRECTIONS

HORSES, PONIES, AND FOALS

(OVER 12 WEEKS OF AGE)

Kills and Repels:

Stable Flies, Horn Flies, House Flies, Face Flies, Horse Flies, Deer Flies, Cluster Flies, Sciarid Flies, Mosquitoes (including Culex species which may transmit West Nile Virus), Gnats, Midges, Punkies and No-See-Ums, Carpenter Bees, Moths (including Almond, Chocolate, Tobacco, Indian Meal, Angoumois Grain, and other flying moths), Fleas, Ticks (including Brown Dogs, Lone Star, Deer and other Ixodes species, American Dog, and Gulf Coast), Chiggers and Lice.

For initial treatment, apply 1-2 fluid ounces daily for 2-3 days. As infestation subsides, repeat treatment every 7-14 days or as prescribed by a veterinarian. Also, re-apply every time animal is washed or exposed to heavy rain.

Use As a Spray:

Apply to face, legs, flanks, top line, and other body areas commonly attacked by flies. Do not wet horse's skin or exceed 2 fluid ounces per application. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out a bright sheen on the coat.

Use As A Wipe On:

Brush animal to remove excess dirt and dust. Moisten but do not wet to the point of dripping a soft cloth and rub over the hair. It is best to apply by rubbing against the hair growth. Give special attention to legs, shoulders, shanks, neck and facial areas where flies most often are seen. Only a light application is required. Avoid using an excessive amount on your horses. Do not wet skin. After application, brush thoroughly to bring out a bright sheen on the coat.

Make sure spray has completely dried before covering with any tack.

DOGS AND PUPPIES

(OVER 12 WEEKS OF AGE)

Do not apply to or allow to come into contact with cats and kittens.

Kills and Repels:

Fleas, Ticks and Lice

Do not apply more than 9 fluid ounces when applying to dogs.

Cover animal's eyes with a hand. Do not spray directly on mouth, nose and eyes. Spray head, ears and chest until damp. With fingertips, rub into face, and around mouth, nose and eyes. Then spray from the neck to the tail, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to skin and on heavily coated animals, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind the hand. Make sure the spray thoroughly wets ticks. Avoid contact with the genitalia. Repeat treatment, if necessary, in 14 days.

As a Premise Spray in Barns, Stables, Farm Buildings and Buildings Housing Animals, and in Homes:

Kills the following listed insects on contact:

Cockroaches, Ants (including Fire Ants, Carpenter Ants, Foraging Ants, and Pharaoh Ants), Spiders ( including Black Widow), Scorpions, Silverfish, Sowbugs (Pillbugs), Centipedes, Millipedes, Crickets, Grain Mites, Clover Mites, Beetles (including Carpet, Flat Grain, Flour, Cigarette, Confused Flour, Drugstore, Lesser Grain Borer, Merchant Grain, Sow-Toothed Grain, Warehouse, Red Flour, Ground, Elm Leaf), Rice Weevils, Water Bugs, Cadelles, Indian Meal Worms, Boxelder Bugs, Asian Lady Beetles, Earwigs, Clothes Moths and Booklice.

Spray thoroughly in areas where listed insects congregate. Direct spray into hiding places, cracks and crevices, along baseboard and around door and window frames. Apply as a spot treatment to floors in homes. Spray to contact as many exposed insects as possible. Do not use more than once per day.
