Product Overview

Plateau Herbicide has been proven to be a reliable and versatile herbicide.  It provides fast, long-term suppression of common roadside grasses like bahiagrass, tall fescue, and smooth bromegrass, as well as noxious and invasive species like leafy spurge and cheatgrass.  It has also been proven to help establish and release native wildflowers and grasses.  In addition, fall applications of Plateau can help to effectively control cheatgrass, which is known to be a primary source of major fires in the West each year.  Plateau is not intended for use on maintained turf such as athletic fields, lawns, or golf course greens, tees, or fairways, as damage may occur.  Plateau should be used in lower maintenance turfgrass areas, such as roadside areas, out of play areas, secondary roughs, and other similar areas of minimally maintained turf.

Details

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Fill the spray tank one-half to three-quarters full with clean water.
  • Use a calibrated measuring device to measure the required amount of Plateau Herbicide.
  • Add to the spray tank while agitating.
  • Fill the remainder of the tank with water.

SPRAYING INSTRUCTIONS

Ground Applications:

  • Uniformly apply with properly ground equipment in 2 or more gallons of water per acre.
  • Application equipment, specially designed to make low volume applications should be used when making applications using less than 10 gallons of water per acre.
  • A spray pressure of 20 to 40 PSI is recommended.

Spot Treatments:

  • To prepare the spray solution, thoroughly mix in water 0.25 to 1.5% (0.3 to 1.9 oz/gallon water) Plateau plus an adjuvant.
  • A methylated seed oil at 1% v/v is the recommended spray adjuvant except when treating seedling prairie grasses and wildflowers.
  • When making spot applications, spray coverage should be sufficient to moisten the leaves of the target vegetation, but not to the point of run-off.
