    Per the product label for Phytophthora Blight and Dieback for Clearys Protect DF: Apply 1.0 to 2.0 lb. PROTECT DF per 100 gallons of water in full coverage sprays. To improve performance, add 2-4 oz. of an effective spreader-sticker, such as Cleary’s Clearspray, per 100 gallons of spray

    The per gallon rate would be 0.16 oz to 0.32 oz per gallon.

    Do you sell Protect DF in smaller than 6lb size?
    I am just a hobby bonsai grower, seeking an excellent fungicide to protect my various bonsai trees. Your product is highly recommended, but having to purchase a 6lb bag makes it very expensive for me. What is the shelf life of Protect DF? Await your reply. Thanks in advance.

    We only sell Clearys Protect DF in a 6lb size. The Shelf life of this product is 2-3 years if kept out of extreme heat. Thank you for your inquiry.

    Applying using Protect DF using a hand can pump sprayer. How much Protect DF do I mix with 1g of water?

    Can Protect DF Fungicide be used in residential turf?
    The label doesn't mention anything regarding residential turf. Would this be appropriated for such application?

    No, Clearys Protect DF is not labeled to be used on residential lawns. You could use Clearys 3336F instead.

    Will Protect DF Fungicide control Rhizosphaera Needlecast on Colorado Blue Spruce
    The lower branches of the spruce tree are dying. We have been advised to use a product with chlorathalonil. This product was suggested on The Ohio State Extension website.

    Clearys Protect DF is labeled to help control Rhizosphaera Needlecast and may be used on conifers as long as you follow the instructions on the product label. You would use 1-2 lbs per 100 gallons of water

    A

    Clearys Protect DF Fungicide does not require watering in.  You should wait to water/irrigate an area if needed 24 hours after application.

Treating St. Augustine for several fungal issues - dollar spot, brown patch, grey leaf spot, possible anthracnose, likely helminthosporium leaf spot, how much Clearys Protect DF per gallon for placement in 2 gallon sprayer? Also, after reading label when your shipment arrived today, would I follow recommendation of adding 1 gallon of water into spray container, then correct amount of Protect DF, then the second gallon of water? Thank you for your assistance.

    Is Protect DF Fungicide okay to apply as a soil drench to ornamentals?
    A

     Protect DF Fungicide is labeled for soil drench only on Peonies to treat Phytophthora Blight and Botrytis Blight. Apply in early spring and early fall, drenching soil arond plants as well as foliage. Promptly destroy all infected plant parts. 

    For a full list of diseases and tolerant ornamental plants refer to pages 7-9 on the product label.
