Phantom II Aerosol does not state anywhere on the label that shaking is required before use, however shaking it slightly will not cause any issue during application
Phantom II Aerosol Spray and Alpine Flea and Bed Bug Aerosol have a residual of about 30 days, although Alpine can be applied every 14 days as needed and also contains an IGR which lasts 7 months.
Phantom would be a good choice for ant control. Phantom should be applied around baseboards, door frames, window frames and places where utilities (cables, pipes and wires) enter through the wall as these are the most likely places for the ants to enter/exit. You can also treat all around the foundation of your home and the exterior window frames, door frames and places where utilities enter to stop the ants from gaining access in the first place. Phantom is a non-repellent insecticide that has a delayed reaction which allows ants time to get back to the colony and spread the product. In essence, the ants will not be able to tell that the product is in place and they will pick it up on the fine hairs all over their body and inadvertently carry it back to the colony where over a course of a few days it will knock out the entire colony. Phantom works really well because you don't have to worry about whether the ants will all take the bait, they just need to walk over the treated areas. Phantom comes in two formulations, concentrated liquid and aerosol for your convenience. Be sure to keep your pets out of the area while you are treating and they can safely return to the treated areas as soon as they are dry, usually 1-2 hours.

We would recommend using Phantom Aerosol spray to help eliminate roaches around the dishwasher. Phantom Aerosol is not an on-contact kill. The reason we recommend this product treat roaches in these situations is because the roaches travel through the treated areas and then transfer the active ingredient into the voids to the other roaches, creating a domino killing effect.
Phantom II Aerosol Spray is not labeled to treat for Bed Bug Nymphs. Bedlam Plus would be a better option to treat for Bed bug Nymphs.
Phantom II Aerosol will start working immediately on the roaches that come into contact with any treated surfaces. It is not likely that you would see roach activity increase during treatment, but keep in mind that it is not a contact kill type of product, so they will not die as soon as they touch it. It will start to work on their system and they will start getting weaker and dying within a few hours of contact. The Vendetta Plus also contains a growth regulator (IGR) which will further help to control the population. However, please keep in mind that roaches are difficult to control, so it will likely take more than 5 days to see full results. Moderate roach infestations can take a few weeks to get rid of, and severe infestations can take several months even when using all of the products needed (insecticide, IGR, roach bait), and sanitation is up to par.

You may not see dead ants immediately after applying Phantom II Aerosol Spray as it is a slow kill so it has time to be taken back to the colony and spread. How long it will take to completely eliminate ants depends on the size of the colony you are treating and how many colonies you are treating. You can reapply every 4 weeks but as long as they are contacting the treated area they will die and transfer it back. You should start to notice a reduction in activity within a few days though.
