What happens if a nonionic surfactant is used? I just applied pylex, Triclopyr, and Grip Stick. I totally forgot that pylex needs MSO, not a nonionic surfactant.
The only information regarding using Additives/Surfactants with Pylex Herbicide is that non ionic surfactants may not provide satisfactory weed control with the Pylex and that a crop oil or MSO Surfactant is suggested so if the MSO was left out, the results with just the Pylex just might be less satisfactory.
If repeat applications are required for weed control, as long as you do not exceed the maximum rate for the weeds you are targeting per the Limitations and Restrictions Section on the product label, a follow up application with Pylex + MSO (Duo Stick Methylated Seed Oil) could be done.
At the 0.046 fl oz per 1000 sq ft rate:
DO NOT apply more than 2.0 fl oz per acre per application.
At the 0.0.92 fl oz per 1000 sq ft rate:
DO NOT apply more than 4 fl oz per acre per year.
DO NOT apply more than THREE times per season.
