    How long does a 55 gallon drum last using your recommend duration times?

    The duration of the 55 gallon drum will depend on how many nozzles used, the amount of time the misting system is on and how many times a day it is used with the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System Kit. For example, if you are using the standard 8 nozzle kit, running at 190 psi, sprayed 45 seconds 5 times a day will last for approximately 26 weeks.

    Th Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System Kit is used daily for most effective applications several times a day (along with approved product label application) For example, if you are using the standard 8 nozzle kit, running at 190 psi, sprayed 45 seconds 5 times a day will last for approximately 26 weeks.

    Do I need to winterize the system when the weather turns cold? Do I flush it with water or purge all liquids through the system? Or do I have it run all winter?

    Yes, the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System should be winterized, meaning that you should flush any liquids out if the system if it will not be in use.

    How do you drain the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System so it does not freeze in winter?
    A

    Here are the instructions per the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System Installation Guide: 

    Winterizing Your SprayMaster System

    1. Disconnect the line at the elbow (next to pressure gauge) and open the bleed valve at the end.

    2. Using an air compressor, blow liquid from the line until dry.

    3. Lift the top and raise the intake filter out of the liquid; set timer switch to “ON” and run briefly to eliminate any liquid in the equipment.

    4. If you do not have a compressor, keep line disconnected at elbow to empty the lines of as much liquid as possible. Leave intake line and filter separated from liquid.

    5. If the insecticide liquid freezes during the winter, you will need to stir the contents before reusing. (Reconnecting System After Winterizing)

    6. After stirring the contents of your barrel, replace the top of the system taking care not to crimp the intake line, return line or float line.

    7. Open bleed valve and run system long enough to remove the air in the lines.

    8. Check your timer to verify the time is correct and the settings are correct.

    9. The system is now ready for use.

    Why is Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System not used on outdoor decks?

    Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System can be used around decks. It was just orginally designed to help with insect issues in barns.

    Can you turn off the nozzles of the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System?
    How does one shut nozzles off along the path of mister. Does regular misting in a haystall make the hay dangerous for animals to eat?

    Most products used in the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System state to cover feed, food/water sources during use.  The nozzzles cannot be closed off; you would need to remove the nozzle and replace it with a straight union in any areas you do not want to mist.

    Can you block a nozzle so less product is spent on an unused space withe Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting Systemr?
    Our system was installed in a barn with 5 horses and we are down to one retiree. I'd like to shut some of the nozzles off so I am using less product on areas that no longer need it.

    The nozzles of the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System cannot be closed off.  You would need to remove the nozzle and replace it with a straight union in any areas you do not want to mist.  You can also reach out to Pyranha for advice by calling 800-231-2966

    Will the tubing in the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System kit last or will it become brittle and crack after several years?
    I am building a new home on Lake and plan to pre install the tubing in the wall for misters on the eves. Another option I am considering is PEX or CPVC and then the tubing the last 2 feet. New home installation

    Why isn't the pump putting out enough pressure on the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System even after I've adjusted the pressure valve?

    If used on a back porch area and pool house area, is the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System going to leave any kind of residue?
    On patio furniture or mess with the pool chemistry?

    The type of residual you may experience has more to do with the chemical you are using in the system and less to do with the system itself. If you are unsure where to start we would recommend a water based insecticide for the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting Systems like Riptide.

    How can I stop nozzles on my Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System from dripping?
    I have 2 nozzles that are dripping not spraying. How do I fix? or do I have to replace?
    A

    If the nozzles have not been cleaned recently, we would recommend cleaning them to remove any buildup and debris. If cleaning the nozzles does not resolve the dripping, please contact the manufacturer of the brand system you have for assistance as they will be experts on their own product.

    Why is the black tubing system for the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System $600 more than the white tubing system?

    The Pyranha Bug Armor used in the Pyranha SprayMaster Barn Misting System is not labeled for use around boat docks. The system is for in and around Horse Barns.
