Recommended killing agent for prickly-pear cactus?

I live in rural Hill Country of central TX and my property has pesky prickly-pear cactus patches, some pretty large. I've previously used PasturGard but this is too expensive and always takes two applications and then at least two months to noticeably die back, then the darn cactus just re-sprouts the next year. I've purchased Bora-Care, Termidor, Taurus SC, and mice-bait from your company through recent years, other stuff too, always with great results, so I trust you.Thanx!

Answer:
