We are doing work on our backyard and watering more often and it seems like the mosquitoes return maybe 3days after applying. I just saw on YouTube channel not to apply more than once very 7days and normally every few months. So general rule don't apply more often than 7days? Correct?
Per the product label for Talstar P Professional Insecticide you can apply once every 7 days when using the low rate of 0.5 fl oz per gallon of water if needed. If you are using the higher rate of 1 fl oz per gallon of water you can only apply once a month. You will still see mosquitoes in the area as they have to contact the area to be effected by it which can take time, it does not repel them from the area though.
For mosquitoes key is to apply to the underside of leaves on trees/bushes which is there the adults lay during the day, as well as shady areas. You would not treat entire areas of the lawn that are in full sun as it is not habitable for them there.
