Poorly Engineered

This flashlight lasts for only a few uses before the three AA batteries (triangle configuration) have to be replaced. Even with fresh batteries this flashlight still has to be shaken or smacked against the palm of your hand to get it to work

An unhappy home inspector...

A dim review of the Scorpion Hunter Reveal UV Flashlight. While it helped me identify the cat urine stains on the carpet it was NOT easy to use. I didn't realize the battery-pack was the 3-battery triangle configuration which is notoriously glitchy. Even after I replaced the batteries I still had to shake it periodically or hit it against my other hand to obtain full brightness. What a pain. I've had flashlights with this battery configuration before and many of them had this same problem. Other than that it worked well (when it worked) and felt nice and solid in your hand. It was plenty bright at night in low light from other sources and with all lights off it works great and I never had to use yellow goggles to see the urine. I think it is over priced especially because of the problems I had with it. This would have been a better flashlight if the design was an in-line, 3-battery configuration. I wish the description stated what the battery configuration was because I would have continued looking. Regrettably, An unhappy home inspector.
